Art. 1. Applicants
It is also worth noting that non-EU citizens not living in Italy will have to undergo the pre-
enrollment procedure to be carried out with the competent Italian Embassy or Consulate for their Country.
2021/2022 pre-enrollment rules & regulations are made available on this webpage: please read it carefully and
abide by its stipulations.
It is worth mentioning the pre-enrollment procedure shall be carried out on the Universitaly portal:
information on the academic year 2021/2022 shall be published there over the next few months, this document
to be updated accordingly. For information purposes, the ministerial Circular Note 2020/2021 is made available
as attachment to this “Call for admissions”.
As the COVID-19 outbreak still affects universities’ and embassies’ operations, Students must check
regularly this webpage for relevant updates (such as enrollment and tuition).
Furthermore, please be advised this “Call for admissions” shall apply to International Master’s Degrees in
Engineering delivered at the Bologna Campus only, except the following 5 restricted-access programmes which
abide by a specific procedure set out on their websites:
Furthermore, the English proficiency is deemed to be fulfilled by those having obtained a University
degree fully delivered English with a minimum length of 2 academic years (120 ECTS) in one EU/EEA country
as well as in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Switzerland, the United States,
Canada, Australia or New Zealand. English as a medium of instruction (MOI) should be clearly written down
on the transcript of academic records.
Students may apply during various intakes as specified below. Applicants should be aware that – for each
Master’s degree – just 50 positions are available for non-EU Students.
It is recommended to apply as soon as possible.
Students interested in applying for Unibo scholarships and grants for International Students (Art. 6)
must be aware they will be required to deal with a different procedure.
Applications shall open on February 11. Students will apply and get feedback about their admission
according to the following schedule:
1. Connect to Studenti Online for creating your personal User ID and Password by clicking on “Se non
sei ancora registrato, vai qui”. Switch to the English version, if preferred.
2. Register by filling out the required fields. In case you are a foreign student and you do not have an
Italian Tax ID (Codice Fiscale), you can click on “International students registration” and fill out the form
to obtain your User ID and Password.
3. After your first access, you will be asked to change your password. Please remember your ID and
Password, as you will be asked to enter them each time you access your profile.
1. Connect to Studenti Online by using your username and password (see 4.1), switch to the English
Version, if preferred.
2. Click on “Entrance Exams”.
3. Select “Second cycle degree programme” and click “next”.
4. Select the Master’s degree you are interested in and click “next”.
5. Attach the required documents in “pdf” format (see Art. 5).
Applicants should be aware that – throughout the online application – they will be required to write down
their graduation mark or CGPA, as well as the maximum score achievable (for instance 14 out of 20, 65 out of
100, 2,5 out of 4).
In order to enrich their application, Students may be asked to include additional documents as well such
as:
• Recommendation letters;
• Personal statement of motivation.
Please check the website of the degree programme of your interest for specific information.
Students interested in applying for scholarships and grants for International Students (Unibo Action
2, Unibo Action 1, Er-go support services) should be aware that these applications involve an additional and
different procedure.

Likewise, applicants should themselves take care of their Bologna’s lodgings: securing a position in a
Master’s degree does not imply getting accommodation,

fathom out rules, regulations & deadlines. Besides, the SAIS Support Service (www.saisaccommodation.it ) offers
free guidance in trawling through the private market for suitable offers.
