Is man Good or Evil?

Since the beginning, humans have struggled with the dilemma of whether a man
is fundamentally good or wicked. Despite the emphasis on whether or not man is good
or evil, I believe that this may not be the right question to ask. As a teenager living in a
world full of uncertainties and fabrications, I think the right question to be asked is, can
society and the environment influence the morality of a human being? This is the part
where globalization comes in and affects the very own nature of the people living in this
wicked world.

To elaborate, a man is not born nice or bad; instead, their environment and
culture have a strong influence on them, especially the term globalization. In the past
years, globalization has been taking place smoothly and decisively. It has been huge to
a country and every living person as well. There is an acceleration of global exchanges
and movements of people, products, services, capital, technologies, or cultural practices
because of more open borders to everyone who wants to be a part of a certain country
or organization. However, as time pass by there comes the negative effects and
pessimistic things that are about to happen because of globalization. Global inequalities
started to rise when several nations saw their economies grow considerably more
quickly than the rest of the world. Environmental problems started to show up as health
problems increased and Winners and losers started to be noticeable. These kinds of
problems showed up as a result of the morality of a man that is greatly affected by being
globalized. Most people whose affected by it are those that become a cynical and
skeptical person. They are motivated by self-interest and distrustful of human sincerity
or integrity. As long as they prosper in their different fields, they won't care a single thing
about others. In fact, the wicked people are the biggest winners of globalization while
the good ones are the losers.

To conclude, I am now going to answer the question, Is man good or evil in terms
of globalization? My answer is a little bit of both. Yes, a man is good because of the
different behaviors which they have that resulted in the prosperity of our world now
compared to past civilizations. No, a man is not good but wicked because of the
distrustful things that they have done which caused the unbalance structure of our
society. But despite that, I am still hoping for the beauty and kindness of each and every
one of us for globalization to flourish and thrive so that it can reach future generations to
come.
