The problem that is being faced by Netflix is the emergence of companies that are
similar and engaged in the same field, such as Netflix, which collaborates with
film broadcasting stations. netfilx was seen by competitors so quickly that this
became an opportunity for companies that put their films through Netflix, they say
Disney+ pulls all the movies on Netflix and creates the same viewing site as
Netflix then shows those films.

If this continues to happen then this will be dangerous and will have a bad impact
on the Netflix company itself, because if the broadcasting company that produces
the film builds a place for the screening of their respective films, it is possible that
the number of shows or options on Netflix is reduced or even completely absent.
Of course, this is a big problem that Netflix is facing.

1. Swot Analysis From Netflix

Strength  Have a Brand reputation

Because Netflix is a name that is
widely known and also known by
the wider community, and when we
hear Netflix we immediately know
that there are quality films there, this
is what makes the Netflix brand or
name still in demand today, despite
the emergence of similar
competitors.
Weaknes  Limited Copyright
Because Netflix works with those
who produce films, but Netflix does
not own the copyright for the film,
so whenever the film wants to be
withdrawn from Netflix, Netflix has
no power to defend it.
It turns out that the rates for Netflix
users are also not the same from one
country to another, some charge
more expensive and also cheaper,
this applies when we as Netflix users
travel abroad but want to watch
movies through Netflix, we must
follow all the rules. different ones
provided by Netflix from the
original country to the country we
visit, so we need more adjustments
in its use.
Opportunities  Have a strategic working partner,
this is because Netflix is a company
that already has good branding so
both investors and other partners
will be very happy to work together.
Threats  Rules or regulations from the
government.
We know that Netflix is almost used
all over the world, of course, its use
also requires adjustments to
government regulations that are
different from each country, this is
what makes or becomes a threat if
one day Netflix doesn't have
permission to broadcast in a country.

2. Please apply SO, ST, WO and WT Strategy

 Strategy SO
Collaborating with work partners and providing up-to-date content or movie shows so
that Netfix users feel satisfied and don't switch to other products.
 Strategy ST
With a well-known brand reputation and also the threat of government regulation,
there should be collaboration between Netflix and the government in terms of
screening, rates and taxes so that Netflix doesn't experience any problems in its
movement because it has been supported by the government.
 Strategy WO
Netflix can do is collaborate with work partners so that the costs incurred by netfix
users are not too high.
 Strategy WT
This can be done by continuing to upgrade all content on Netflix so as to increase the
trust of Netflix users even higher.

3. A. Horizontal Business Expansion for Netflix

That is by collaborating with Disney+ so that the public can only view film shows
through one platform.
Vertical business expansion:
In this case Netflix can work with companies that produce films so that shows on
Netflix vary.

B. which has a greater return is to do business horizontally, because when we

cooperate with competitors this will actually produce more profits because each
company has an extraordinary strategy to improve its product.
