RADIO SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE FOR PHASE 4A & 4B STATIONS

Phase 4a stations are composed of 2 types of stations:

1- Stations under ground

 It will follow the same way of deployment done in previous phases of
Metro line 3 project.
 There are 4 underground stations of a distance around 3.6 Km.
 2 BTSs will be installed at Heliopolis and El Shams stations.
 Radiating system will be through Leaky cable system.
2- Stations over ground
There are 2 over ground stations of a distance around 2 Km
 1 BTS will be installed at Hesham Barakat station
 3 Antenna system will be installed as shown in the figure below

3- Repeating system will be installed also to insure double coverage in each

location of the track and public areas.
4- The following figure shows the deployment for the Phase 4 A of the project

5- For phase 4B stations there will be the following:

  4 over ground stations of a distance around 5Km and workshop
 2 BTSs will be installed at Omar Ebn ElKatab and Adly Mansour
stations and workshop
 Antenna system will be installed.
 Repeater system will be used to ensure the redundancy of the
coverage.

6- The following figure shows the deployment for the Phase 4 B of the project

7- The following figure shows the deployment of all Phase 4 stations .

8- It is needed one pair of frequency for each BTS and one for each Repeater,
as shown in the overall figure below.
 9- The following table explains the locations needed for each Antenna
