DOES ENVIROMENT PLAY A ROLE IN CORANAVIRUS EVOLUTION?

I. INTRODUCTION
The term environment refers to our natural surroundings. A home environment,
for example, refers to the place where we live, our homes. Our firm has a work
environment.Thus the environment may be regarded as a space or a field in which networks
of relationships, interconnections and interactions between entities occur.The
circumstances, objects, or conditions that surround a person in a certain environment has
the set of physical, chemical, and biotic factors (such as climate, soil, and life forms) that act
on an organism or an ecological community to determine its form and survival, including the
variety of social and cultural conditions that affect an individual's or community's life.

As the outbreak of the novel corona virus (COVID-19) accelerates, the entire
world has adopted a curfew/lockdown regulation that restricts human movements. The
introduction of quarantine prohibited all commercial activity, which had a significant impact
on a number of affecting the environment indicators that were directly involved in human
health. Nature benefits as all sorts of social, economic, industrial, and urbanisation activity
abruptly ceases, resulting in improved air quality, cleaner waterways, reduced noise
pollution, and undisturbed and calm wildlife.

II. Body
The environment has it important role in our lives not just only because we get
our food,water,air and suppliese to build a house but also be a source of diseases such as
the virus that we are facing today. The corona virus disease also known as COVID-19 is one
of the disease proceeded in nature/environment, it came from a bat and then turn into
disease. The country decleared outbreak that turns into a epidemic and now a pandemic.
But who will expect that a small piece of a bat will turn into this kind of disaster. Well it is a
man made as I said a while ago people from wuhan china has their street food were bats
and other insects is only natural for them to eat. Maybe they serve an ill bat which made a
infectious. The first case was reported on December 2019 but until now there is still
questions being asked by everyone. This virus break a lot of lives also because of this
establishments closed,people lost their jobs,government was physically unprepared etc.
Students and teacher was put on a hard place.
Spike protein, one of this virus's structural proteins, is essential for receptor
binding and consequently viral entrance. As a result, this protein has piqued the interest of

found some sequence studies of the Spike protein from Indian isolates and compared them
to those from wuhan, china. While all of the wuhan isolates' genomes are similar, i
discovered point mutations in the Indian samples. Out of the two isolates, one was found
to harbor a mutation in its receptor-binding domain at position 407. At this site, arginine
(a positively charged amino acid) was replaced by isoleucine (a hydrophobic amino acid
that is also a C-β branched amino acid). This mutation has been seen to modify the
secondary structure of the protein at that site, potentially altering viral receptor binding.
Although this discovery requires more confirmation and sequencing, the knowledge
might be valuable in rational medication design and vaccine engineering.
In my point of view I can say that this pandemic has also have a positive effect
on the environment beacause before metro manila was crowded of smokes all around if
we we’re outside we can’t even recognize the surroundings and some far buildings. Many
people do wrong doing such as robbery,drugs etc but now many of us could inhale fresh air
we could also mainly focus ourselves into the things that we live especially our family. This
pandemic does not only have a negative effect unto us. Doctors and med tech personel
made a vaccine to prevent more infections hope that this will be effective as expected.
After this we should more take care of our environment so that they would be no longer
source of illness surrounding us.

The environment is important because it supports the survival of human

beings, is the source of natural resources, supports biodiversity and offers remarkable
beauty. Moreover, the environment is responsible for air purification and disaster control.
We should put our care and take care of it we would not like on how the nature will
revenge on us so this pandemic must be a lesson in all of us.God also made this as a
punishment to be able for us to learn our mistakes, never be a greedy for everything.
