Isn´t it romantic? You probably already know the band, they are very famous
nowadays, so yes, we are going to talk about Morat.
Morat is a pop folk music group from Bogotá, Colombia, created in 2015. Its
mebers are Juan Pablo Izaza Piñeros, Juan Pablo Villamil Cortés, Simón
Vargas Morales and Martín Vargas Morales. Previously, until the end of 2016
he had been part of Alejandro Posada´s band, but he decided to leave the
group so he was replaced by Martín Vargas Vargas. So far they have been very
successful and are one of the groups most loved by their fans. They often sing
romantic songs, so everyone feels related to their song and may cry while
singing. They have very famous albums, but today we are going to refer mainly
to their members.
Juan Pablo Isaza Piñeros
Lead vocalist and guitarist for Morat, he also plays piano and ukulele. He has a
degree in Business Administration from the Universidad de los Andes, is
pursuing a second career with a musical emphasis, and is a co-founder of the
successful producer Mapache.
Juan Pablo Villamil Cortés
Secondary vocalist for Morat, he pays the banjo, ukulele and guitar. He has a
degree in music and Industrial Engineeringfrom the Universidad de los Andes.
Simon Vargas Morales
Vocalist and bassist for Morat, he handles the modulars. He is a writer, in 2020
he presented his firs book “al filo de la luz”. He studies History at the
Universidad de los Andes.
Martin Vargas Norales
Vocalist and drummer from Morat, in addition to playing synthesizers. He has a
degree in Graphic Desingn from the Universidad de los Andes. He is co-founder
of the renowned Brand GNeL Studios. He has a career in Graphic Design.
