When working with young people in child care number of risks are associated as childcare is

considered as one of the most vital sectors of the society in which risks of higher level are
involved(McCafferty & Taylor, 2020). The risk in context to the child care is a likelihood to
the damage that can harm the safety of the child leading them to unwanted statements. When
working with children it is utmost important that their emotions and notions must be taken
proper care. The risk assessment becomes the legal requirement that must comply with the
health as well as safety legislation. Under the risk assessment the potential hazards are
analyzed and then following those hazards it is important that risks are resolved by following
the appropriate measures. The potential risk factors when handling the childcare can be
identified as involvement in criminal behavior if proper care and guidance is not provided by
the adults, mental health problems due to the bad relationships with parents or any other
specific reason, child abuse or neglection of child by parents because of drugs or financial
issues and many more (Brussoni et al., 2012). It is important for child care organizations that
they must identify the risks related to child care in advance so that effective measures are
taken accordingly. All the measures are being taken ensuring that impact of the risk can be
minimized and better facilities can be provided to the childcare effectively. Therefore,
protecting the children is mandatory when considering the risks involved in the childcare.
The risk management is the practice that contains the variant steps which are involved in
managing the health of children. These steps include identification of risks, customization of
risk assessment for particular service, the communication must be ensured for the
stakeholders, risk assessment must be reviewed and updated (Cooke et al., 2019). Under the
current scenarios of Covid19 the risks related to health has increased and it has become
mandatory for the child care centers to ensure that all measures related to health must be
taken so that any kind of infections can be avoided. Therefore, a proper risk assessment is
essential when considering the child care and below are the advantages and disadvantages of
risk assessment as well as risk management strategies for the childcare. The
recommendations are included on the basis of persuasion, logic and research.

The risk assessment helps to minimize the risks and help to make a better place for the
children so that risks can be minimized and better environment is provided to the children.
With risk assessment along with risks the vulnerabilities are recognized so that external as
well internal threats are clearly understood. The incompliances with standards are also
recognized to ensure that relative risks are assessed and generic information regarding the
policies is provided to parents who leave their children at child care (Fenech & Sumsion,
2017). The weaknesses of the community centers are recognized and effective measures are
being taken to ensure that these weaknesses are eliminated. The prioritization of the further
resources is also done with the help of risk assessment which ensured that in future also these
risks will not arrive. With the risk assessment predictions are made regarding what could
happen and preparing in advance for all kinds of circumstances which help the childcare
centers a lot as they already have prepared for the risks with their mitigation plans. In the
event that a risk assessment is not indicated and the child is injured by a threat that the
guardianship association did not recognize, he may be sued for carelessness. It can be
financially disastrous if there is no chance of it to produce results, and it can also affect the
reputation of caring association (Brussoni et al., 2012). Then the ideal is to provide an
association no matter what happens, including young people and workers. Thus, the risk
assessment becomes an important step that must be executed in the company to ensure that
the problems are resolved and proper protection is provided to the children in child care
centers. For the risk management in child care, it is important that different categories for the
risks are analyzed and this provides the advantages to the child care centers ensuring that they
are going through definite measures which are helpful in minimizing the risks. With the
management of risks there are chances that compliance risks are minimized. The
documentation is encouraged which states that if in future also the risk took place, they are
resolved by following effective steps (Gibbs & Browman, 2015). The impactful source of
risk is resolved to get the better child care facilities. The mitigation plans implemented by the
child care centers after proper management of risks helps to enhance the reputation of the
center and tends to provide better facilities. If the risk assessment and risk management is
done in appropriate manner for the child care centers, the authorities are encouraged to
consider the risks. The risk managers are motivated to look for the different opportunities
which are being ignored in one context or other. With the explanation of risks the forecasting
is done and advanced preparation are made which are helpful in monitoring the centers. The
risk management allows the young people to focus on risk therapies as part of learned
exercises and are reserved in the absence of planning. It has a resulting milestone for each
module under the highlighted information. Therefore, with the introduction of risk
assessment and risk management in the child care centers there is probability that secure
environment in which they can grow and learn things efficiently.

On the other side of the coin, it is important to look into the various disadvantages of the risk
assessment and management strategies when working with the young people for child care.
The biggest disadvantage of this risk assessment is that they lack consistency as the risks are
identified as the qualitative risk assessment (Bani Ismail et al., 2018). The other disadvantage
that is recognized is that improbable occasions do happen yet in the event that the danger is
sufficiently impossible to happen is perhaps better to just hold the danger and manage the
outcome if the misfortune does indeed happen. Also investing a lot of energy surveying and
overseeing improbable dangers can redirect assets that could be utilized all the more
beneficially(Falenchuk et al., 2017). Also, the probability of determination of true magnitude
and actual extent of any event is difficult to determine in advance which can affect the overall
performance of the child care center which can affect the revenue and profits of the company.
Moreover, under risk assessment and strategy risk mitigation is a technique that aimed at
limiting the opening of an organization while performing a movement or series of actions. It
is designed to reduce any unfortunate effects or effects of known and apparent hazards, and is
used on a regular basis when a hazard is imminent. There can also occur the information gap
that can reduce the chances of effective risk identification (Flynn et al., 2017). The array
threat involves complex calculations in terms of capability monitoring. Without a
programmed instrument, any possibility assessment becomes problematic. Whether or not the
misunderstanding is due to misfortune, then individuals must at that time cover them with the
voluntary magnitude of the misfortunes of boundaries and, surprisingly, think of unnecessary
protective boundaries. Hazard monitoring relies on external substances that are regulated
within an association, generally based on external information (Cai, 2019). Under the risk
management strategies, it contains all reliable data on the dangers of other legitimate assets.
Adaptive resources depend on external substances that typically contain information. Risk
managers spend a large part of the day collecting data on important plans. It has
comprehensive rules that are relieved and recognized as a money related feature (Bradley &
Vandell, 2018). This coincides with a difficult understanding of the necessary amount of
information without delayed gratuitous experience. Since vulnerabilities and risks can be
treated differently with subjectivity, it depends on the control of opportunities under each
topic. It may well be related to the problematic execution of the control. There are studies that
save money that are not conducted. This interaction is more focused on the exercise of
checks.

It is highly recommended for the child care centers and young people involved in child care
that they must value and treat each child or young person as a person in their own right, in
their work as part of their family and in their work as a unit in the local area where they live
so that risks related to mental health can be minimized (D'andrade et al., 2018). The child or
young person's relationship with his family, his relatives, various persons in his family, and
other important persons by assessing his or her customary ties and their associated rights and
obligations are considered to handle the risk management effectively. The work must be
conducted on the ideal development and promotion of each individual child or youth to reach
their potential in all areas of work. It is recommended for the childcare centers that they must
help all children and young people for whom the person takes responsibility by preventing
problems when possible, offering insurance when it is important, and paying attention and
restoring to neutralize or solve problems encountered. Since the risk assessment and
management involves large amount of data it is necessary that the data must be used
appropriately, bearing in mind the protection of young people and young people, secrecy
when it is fundamental, the right of children and young people to be educated in matters that
concern them and avoiding the misuse of individual data (Hanafi, 2015). The child care
centers must consistently oppose any kind of segregation, abuse or double treatment of young
people and young people and protect their privileges.

Thus, in concise it can be stated that effective risk management as well assessment strategies
must be introduced when handling the young people in child protection. The child care
centers can be considered effectively so that risk assessment and risk management strategies
can be elaborated in effective manner. The risk assessment has both advantages and
disadvantages but their main target is to recognize risk and make effective decision to
mitigate the risk.
