Advantages of keeping Single Package

• No interfacing issue between Civil and Electro-mechanical Works, resultantly minimum risks of the
Contractor’s claims and cost variations

• Less management cost of PEDO, and substantial saving in time & money for procurement of single
Contract rather consuming more time in processing of different packages;

• Better Control in Price and Escalation and easy to handle.

Disadvantages of Single Package Contract

• Cost of civil works might be a little bit higher in case of single package rather multiple individual
Packages, but it is not necessarily; and

 If Performance during execution of single Contractor is poor, there might be chance of delay

Overall, single package will be preferable, as it will save time and money by having minimum risks of
potential claims/delays; less management cost and easy to implement.
