STUDY PLAN

My full name is JEAN MAURICE NDUNGUTSE a senior student from Yangtze Normal
University. I am expected to graduate at the end of June, 2022. Currently am doing Chemical
Engineering and Technology.

I was born in Rwanda, East Africa. As the third born of my family. In September, 2018 I entered
Yangtze Normal University and majored Chemical and Engineering and Technology. The four
years long study and two-year-long laid a solid foundation in science for me. Am fortune to join
group of researcher as assistant in the College of Chemical Engineering and Technology. With
focus on the resource recovery from (biomass, food waste, and recalcitrant organic residues), water
quality assessment and sanitation, pyrolysis of waste, and wastewater treatment via anaerobic
digestion. The pleasure I got from studying and doing research made me decide to pursue a career
in Chemistry, and to be specific, in the study of Chemical Engineering and Technology.

Chemistry research has a history of many decades in China. Until nowadays China is still in the
leading position in the field of Chemistry. A graduate school-level education in China will no
doubt benefit me greatly for my future career. It will give me the opportunity to interact with and
lean from the best chemists in the world and participate in cutting-edge researches and equally
learn to speak Chinese Language fluently. Chinese is now a well reckoned language globally and
I believed it is necessary to learn it. In addition, Chinese culture are well reckoned with worldwide.
Chinese Government strongly supports strongly funding academic development and research in
all spheres.

University of Chinese Academy of Science in one of the top universities in China and in the world
at large. Its department of chemistry is one of the most highly ranked chemistry department as
well. Studying in such a first-class chemistry program is always my dream. I chose this program
for its prestigious professors, stimulating atmosphere and beautiful sceneries.
I will pursue my Master’s degree in Chemistry Engineering and Technology. The normal length
of the study is about 36 months. Throughout of those three years, my study and research will be
focused on many aspect of chemistry and also according to my supervisor.

I would like to put most effort of my first year on studying core courses and teaching. I will also
attend seminars. Besides I would like to work hand in hand with my professor and attend all the
discussions in his/her group I will join a research group and do preliminary research and brainstorm
new ideas and discuss it with supervisors to establish a good research subject.

To my understanding I know this course are highly competitive and challenging, but I will
endeavor to put my very best to achieve an outstanding performance. I will therefore appreciate
your consideration for placement in this highly rated discipline Master’s in Chemical Engineering
and Technology to enable me accomplish my study career.
