Stress is defined as a human’s response to any unexpected or threatening situation. The response
can be emotional, mental, physical, or social. This stress may be good or bad. Good stress is
when a person experiences excitement while bad stress happens when there is the threat of
something damaging or fearful. Every person has to deal with the stress and it is a necessity. A
person who cannot manage stress or deal with it can cause a lot of damage to himself and others
around him/her. If stress is not properly managed, it can lead to weak relationships, bad mental
and physical health, and poor decision-making.
Example:
I will explain the effects of stress from my example. A few years ago, my father had an accident
and I experienced a lot of stress at that time. I kept a lot of control over my stress because the
situation demanded it, but still stress damaged my health. I experienced hypertension, headache,
and depression at that time. I was also not able to take the required decision effectively. But I
managed it with time and learned that it is very necessary to have control over stress.
I can apply all of these strategies in my life. I have applied these things before too. Now,
whenever I am having any kind of stress, I go out to spend some time with my loved ones and try
to do some leisure activities with them, which keep me calm and relaxed. I have also decided to
do exercise daily in the morning to manage any sudden stress.
These strategies will help me in different ways. First, it will keep me fit and healthy. Also, these
will help me know that I have my loved ones with me. Also, the activities will keep me
distracted. Hence, these strategies had and will help me overcome the stress.
