Good morning ladies and gentleman. We are from affirmative team. My name is
Annisa Sekar as the first speaker. This is Angger Syah as the second speaker. This
is Halim Diza as the third speaker. Next we would like to give the motion today.
Ledies and gentlemen our motion today is “Paperwork task in this technology era” .
And We agree with the motion. We agree that Paperwork task in this technology era
keep going.
Before we give an argument, we will give a definition of paper and technology.
Paper is one of the dry sheets made from plant fibers that humans need. Technology
is a method or process of applying various sciences that are useful in meeting
needs.
Next, ledies and gentlemen, I would like to present our argument. We agree that
teachers give paper assignments in today’s era. We all know, that technology is now
developing very fast. Our lives are now completely digital, this will make us always
dependent on technology, especially for those of us who are still students. The ease
of access to all kinds of information that technology brings to the education system
has the risk of creating lazy mindsets in students.
Currently, teachers prefer to give assignments using paper. Why is that? Because
giving assignments using paper will make it easier for students to do assignments.
Students will also write directly, this will make students not lazy. Students must try to
do the assignments given. Students will try to find solutions to problems or tasks that
are being done, by doing this students will become hardworking individuals and do
not give up easily
In many ways, paper is one of the most reliable and widely used media for
productive learning. Now paper itself has become an important part of human life,
paper is not only for student assignments which is used as a medium for teaching
and learning, there are many other uses of paper.
So we agree if the teacher gives assignments using paper. What’s more, this will
make students not lazy to study.

Ladies and gentlemen, We think that paper assignments will make it easier for
students to do assignments. In today's digital age, many teachers rely on tools and
apps to help students learn. But it turns out, the best way to teach students to absorb
information is a bit more manual. Yes, by writing it down on paper.
Some parents and teachers may wonder why handwriting is so important when
studying, but watching videos online is easier and quicker.
As Said earlier, handwriting will make students active, reducing laziness in
learning. The ease of access to all kinds of information that technology brings to the
education system has the risk of creating lazy mindsets in students. An easy
example is when students need to research a certain topic, they do all the data
collection with technology, in this case, it is the internet. They don’t go out of their
class and are busy with their gadgets.
When we have access to many sources on the internet to find the information we
want to learn, sometimes we will also find ourselves accessing other unnecessary
resources. Curiosity is human nature. So, it’s not surprising, if we want to know what
we can find in unnecessary sources. The result is that we spend more time figuring
out what we don’t really need, rather than focusing on what we want to learn. It
would be a waste of time.
In writing, we will not depend on technology anymore. We can’t write words at
random. Each type of writing does have its own rules and regulations, but one thing
that is definitely the same is that every writing must have good grammar. As long as
we write, we will use and learn the correct use of words and language. That way, our
knowledge of using good language will increase as we write.

As technology advances, the need to write by hand is increasingly being replaced.
However, handwriting will make us smarter and more creative to write. If we are used
to writing, our brains will get used to thinking so that it can increase creativity. By
writing, our language will automatically become good so it will be easy to find ideas
or ideas that match our thinking. Writing will strengthen memory.
When the process of making writing, not only the hands and eyes that work but the
human brain also works. Brain work begins with looking for writing ideas and then
making a line of writing until it is finished. If the brain is often trained to read and
write, the brain's performance will be stronger. The human brain is like a human
muscle that needs to be trained all the time to stay strong. So that the memory
becomes stronger, then multiply by writing so that fresh ideas are stored in the mind.
It can be concluded that, although the use of technology is more practical,
handwriting is more flexible. By handwriting, students will be more active and
creative. With paper as a teaching and learning medium, it will feel more comfortable
and not dependent on technology.
