DISCUSSIONS

Summary

This research study primarily aimed to design, test, and develop an RFID-Based

Vehicle and Equipment Monitoring System. System, will be a great help to do than in the

manual system and it sought to meet the following objectives: 1) identify the user

requirements of administration and employees; 2) analyze the contents of the forms and

systems process as basis for the database design; 3) identify the features of the system;

and 4) test the acceptability of the system.

The researchers adopted a graphic development type of research and utilized the

Evolutionary Prototyping Methodology as their guide in the development of the RFID-

Based Vehicle and Equipment Monitoring System. There are six (6) phases of

Evolutionary Prototyping and these are the following: Requirements Gathering, Quick

Design, Build Prototype, User Evaluation, Refining Prototype, and Engineer Product.

The researchers gathered data through a series of interviews with concerned

stakeholders including the Drivers and staff of the mayor’s office. Their suggestions were

solicited to form part of the system’s features functionalities. Forms and documents were

carefully analyzed by the researchers for the design of the input forms of the system. The

current processes and operations were also attentively observed to determine how these

can be integrated into the system. The acceptability test was conducted to measure the

approval of the system for its possible implementation.

Conclusions
The automation of the vehicle and equipment monitoring processes contributes to

the improvement of monitoring the vehicle and equipment in an innovative way.

Thus, this study will help the Municipality of Magsingal in monitoring the vehicle

and equipment which would be an easier way of managing the records and a faster way

of generating reports. All data which were used in the current system were used as a basis

for the design of the database; hence, the system is technically feasible and met the

expectation of the user. The system was developed with security measures for safety, and

more well-organized records.

Recommendations

The RFID-Based Vehicle and Equipment is highly recommended for the

implementation and deployment in the Municipality of Magsingal because it is

economically feasible, user-friendliness, reliable and useful. It provides completeness,

and clearness and generates reports for a better outcome.

The Municipality of Magsingal may upgrade or expand the system if needed to

accommodate other transactions.
