Ice door solenoid eliminated.
The ice flap solenoid (figure 1) has been eliminated on current production Ice Makers (figure 2)

Old Design: On previous Iceland BM refrigerators , the solenoid ( figure 1) opens and closes the flap in
ice bucket for ice dispensing. When a customer operates the lever outside the door for ice dispensing,
the solenoid is activated and it opens the flap. As soon as customer releases the lever, the solenoid is
deactivated and due to the ice pan rod being spring loaded, the flap shuts.
Current Design: On the current production refrigerators the solenoid and mounting hardware has been
eliminated (figure 2). When the ice bin is in position, ice in the bin remains stationary unless the auger
rotates and pushes the ice forward. With the new design, the door flap remains open when the ice bin is
in the operating position but as soon as the ice bin is taken out, the flap will shut and prevent ice from
falling out.

Se ha eliminado el solenoide de la puerta de hielo.
Se ha eliminado el solenoide de la aleta para el hielo (figura 1) en la producción actual de fábricas de hielo (figura 2).

Diseño anterior: En refrigeradores anteriores con congelador en la parte inferior de marca Iceland, el
solenoide (figura 1) abre y cierra la aleta que está en el balde de hielo para despachar el hielo. Cuando un
cliente hacer funcionar la palanca que se encuentra fuera de la puerta para despachar hielo, el solenoide
se activa y abre la aleta. En cuanto el cliente suelta la palanca, se desactiva el solenoide y, debido a que la
varilla de la bandeja para el hielo tiene un mecanismo de resorte, la aleta se cierra.
Diseño actual: En los refrigeradores de la producción actual, se han eliminado el solenoide y las piezas
de montaje (figura 2). Cuando el depósito de hielo está en su posición, el hielo en el mismo permanecerá
fijo a menos que el espiral gire y empuje el hielo hacia delante. Con el nuevo diseño, la aleta de la puerta
permanece abierta cuando el depósito de hielo está en la posición de funcionamiento, pero en cuanto se
saca el depósito de hielo, se cierra la aleta y evita que se caiga el hielo.
