1. What did you do as housekeeping trainee, I clean publish area and rooms
- What is housekeeping department? Housekeeping is a department in the
hotel, which is responsible to clean public area and rooms.
- Who is responsible to clean public area? public area attendant
- Who is responsible to clean rooms? rooms attendant
- What are you doing in the hotel? as housekeeping trainee
- What did you do in the hotel? I clean the room and public area
- What is public area? is area where everybody can do the activities
- What is a room? Room is area for the guest to sleep?

2. Surfaces = permukaan

Soft surfaces: ex sofa, carpet, curtains

Hard surfaces Ex = door handle, faucet,

Glass Ex = mirror, door glasses, window

Hard floor Ex = ceramic, marble, Vinnie

SOP = 1. Soft surface

How do you do cleans soft surfaces? by vacuuming and sporting
How do you do vacuuming? a. plug the cable to electricity and turn on
b. start vacuuming move to forward
How do you do sporting? a. Spray with chemical
b. Wait for chemical action
c. Brush with spotter brush
d. Press and wipe with dry cloth
Hard floor => ceramic, marble, vinyl
 - How do you clean hard floor? by sweeping and moping
- How do you sweeping? I used broom and dustpan more to forward.
- How do you moping? I used mop stick, mop bucket and wringer
Metal/ stainless / Bass (kuningan)
How do you clean metal = by wiping and polishing
How do you clean metal for daily basis? by wiping
How do you wipe the metal ? 1. Spray with glass cleaner
2. Wipe with dry cloth
By wrapping first spray with glass cleaner and wipe with dry cloth
If the metal is very dirty or spotted or stained, what do you do ?
By polishing, first apply the metal cleaner on dry cloth and start polishing until
shiny
 Glasses => door glasses, mirror, window glasses
How do you clean glasses?
- Spray with glass cleaner
- Squeeze with window squeezer
- Wipe with dry cloth
 Porcelain => washtafle, bath tub
How do you clean porcelain?
- Flush
- Spray with porcelain cleaner
- Brush with hand brush
- Flush again
- Wipe with dry cloth
 Bowl => toilet bowl, urinal bowl
How do you clean toilet bowl?
- Flush
- Soak with toilet bowl cleaner
- Wait for chemical action
- Brush with toilet bowl brush
- Flush again
- Wipe the outside toilet bowl with dry cloth.
How do you clean the rooms?
 - Prepare the room boy trolley
- Go to the room
- Knock the door for 3 times and say housekeeping
- If no answer, open the door with masker key
- Make sure no guest inside
- Check the bath room make sure no guest inside
- Turn on the lamp and open the curtain
- Collecting garbage
- Making bed
- Dusting the furniture
- Clean the bathroom
- Refill the complimentary
- Clean the floor
- Double check
- Turn off the lamp and close the curtain
- Leave the room

What do you prepare in room boy trolley?

1. Tools = hand brush, toilet bowl brush, window squeezer, dry cloth,
bottle sprayer.
2. Chemical = glass cleaner, metal cleaner, floor cleaner, toilet bowl
cleaner, spot remover
3. Amenities = soap, shampoo, tooth paste, tooth brush, comb
4. Refill the complimentary = mineral water, tea, coffee, sugar, creamer,
sandals, pen and note pad
5. Guest supplies (towel, pillow case, etc)
a. Bed room supplier = Linen => sheet, pillow case, guest cover
b. Bath room supplier = bath towel, hand towel, face towel, bath mate,
toilet paper
How do you making the bed
1. Pull the bed
2. Striping the dirty linen, and put into room boy trolley
3. Take the clean linen and spread the sheet on the bed
4. Luster duvet into duvet cover
 5. Spread duvet and folding for twice
6. Tuck the linen under the bed / mattress
7. Push the bed to head board
8. Change the pillow case and put on the headline

How do you clean the bathroom?

1. Collecting garbage and dirty towel
2. Clean the toilet bowl
3. Clean the mirror
4. Clean the washtafel
5. Clean the shower curtain
6. Clean the bath up
7. Clean the head shower
8. Clean the floor
9. Refill amenities and guest supplies/ towel
10. Spray with air refreshers
