The reduction of energy needs is directly related to the provision of climatic design in buildings.

The effects of the Mediterranean climate are seen in Heybeliada.
In the Mediterranean climate, where the relative humidity is high, summers are hot and dry, and winters are warm and rainy.
Since the summer months are long in the region, summer conditions should be taken into account while making an energy
efficient design.
Climatic Design
in the Hot-humid Climate Zone

The positioning of the buildings is in the form of narrow tall buildings against the prevailing wind.

Large openings are created on the ground floor, allowing the wind to pass under the building to
cool.

The buildings are designed in the courtyard plan type.

When positioning the buildings, a gap is left between them.
