You are expected to visit, dine at, and evaluate a full service or quick service restaurant and to
write up your observations and perceptions in a short paper.
The critique should be written as a paper with headings and in paragraph form. Generally it
should be approximately two to three pages in length, but there is not a length limitation. The
restaurant’s appearance, service, and atmosphere should be described in detail. Every food item
ordered should be evaluated for appearance and taste and presentation. Your critique must be
typed in 12 point font and double spaced. Have some fun with this paper, but be sure to answer
all of the following:
Use the following as headings, write in complete sentences, and include the following items.
Would you tell others to go? Why or Why not? Do you see evidence of sustainability—
such as the use of locally, grown foods, and other “green” practices? If so, what are they? If
not what practices might you recommend and why?
