I. To simulate a summer using Op-Amp
II. To build and test a summer using Op-Amp

• FG-1882 function generator

• Oscilloscope
• Discrete components such as transistors, capacitors and resistors.
• Regulated power supply

EXPERIMENT PROCEDURE
I. To simulate a summer using op-amp
In Multisim, simulate a simple summer circuit as shown below. If your component values
differ slightly, report the exact values used in your report.

Measure and report the output.

Calculate the input impedance of the overall circuit.

What can you do to increase the input impedance? Explain with diagrams.

II. To build and test summer using Op-Amp

Build the summer cicuit as shown in the previous task.
