A. Background

Language in everyday life plays a very important role, especially in expression of one's mindor ismeans
forthink, reasonand livelife. According to Iskandarwarsid (2009) language is a means of
communicationused to convey thoughts and feelings towards someoneor a group of people.Language
has a central role in the intellectual, social and emotional development of the participantsstudents and
is a supporter of success in studying all fields of study.Language learning is expected to help students get
to know themselves, their culture, and culturepersonother.According
toDanarti(2008),learnlanguageforeignespeciallylanguageEnglishis a must because the world is
increasingly globalized so that it demands people toproficient in English. Early language recognition
should be introduced to variousmethodwhichsuchshapeso thatthere
isintereststudentforstudylanguage.Language teaching, especially English as one of the most important
foundationsmust be mastered in the teaching and learning process is vocabulary. Because with student
vocabularycan practice language skills well. Mastery of English vocabulary forElementary school children
are not spared from the lessons conveyed by the teacher by usingmethods or steps that can arouse
children's enthusiasm forstudy english. According to Sumantri and Permana (2001), methods are
waystaken by the teacher to create a teaching situation that is really fun andsupports the smooth
