Dear Sir, KANDY NORTH - PATHADUMBARA INTEGRATED WATER SUPPLY PROJECT SUBJECT: REGARDING SIDE DRAINS ALONG THE INTAKE ROAD, DIVERSION OF THE DRAIN OFF TO THE LAND SLIDING AREA AND RESTORATION OF DAMAGED UTILITIES. At the area belongs to raw water main along the intake access road, we have observed that there is a land sliding area close to the road. Therefore in order to avoid water to directly enter to that area, itis essential to divert the water. Therefore itis expected to construct a drain with cover slabs (Use typical drawing for heavy duty structure) across the road in order to divert the water path off to the subjected land slide area (Refer Annex 01). Please note that the payments for this item is to be done as per the BOQ item 1.2.5, You are requested to fix the cover slabs for the drain which is being constructed along the intake road (As mentioned in BOQ item 1.2.5) as there is a possibility to collapse the soil into the drain. 3 Wehave informed you to restore/ rectify the damaged shifted properties and utilities at the end of the construction of RWM (Refer our letter RSC-C/ KNPIWSP/03-B/14951/' 2022-4861). Therefore we hereby remind you to restore damaged underground cable system of the lamp posts before doing permanent road reinstatement of RWM. Thank you.
