Laser Hair Removal

 Technology used
• We are using the latest technology of
quadruple wavelength laser which is
a combination of 4 wavelengths-
755+810+940+1064nm

• Previously only 810nm (diode) laser

was used for hair removal, however it
was effective only on thick dark hair
and not on fine hair. It was also
unsafe on dark skin.

• The new quadruple wavelength laser

helps in reducing all types of hair -
fine, medium and thick hair and is
safe in all types of skin colour-dark
and light.
• Its first of a kind to be owned in Mumbai AND BANGALORE.
No clinics provide this technology till date.

• Hyderabad - only 1-2 other clinics provide this.

• On an average 70% of clinics provide only diode(810) laser and

30% have triple wavelength laser (755+810+1064) in their clinic
which are less effective on fine and medium hair.
 How is it permanent ?
• The laser beam targets the hair follicle and destroys its
roots giving permanent hair reduction.
 Method of procedure
• First the area to be treated will be shaved with
razor.

• Then a cooling gel will be applied on the selected

body part

• Then laser shots will be given to the selected area.

• After laser shots, icing will be done followed by

soothing moisturiser application.
 Need to know
• Laser does not work on white hair.

• Laser shots cannot be given on

1. any tattoo or birth marks

2. cuts and wounds

3. boils ( active infection).

 Is it safe?
• The laser targets only the hair follicle without
affecting the surrounding skin.

• Our therapist will be wearing personal protective

equipment (PPE) as per WHO guidelines

• All the machines and equipments will be sterilised

effectively before use.

• Temperature check of both customer and therapist

will be done.
 Painful or Painless?

• The laser has a ice cool technology which does not

allow the skin to get heated and cause discomfort.

• It is a very comfortable procedure which is

absolutely painless.
 Duration

• Approximately 3-3.5 hours are required for full body

sessions.

• 1.5-2 hours for half body sessions.

• 30-60 minutes for any single body part.

 Can head to work
immediately?

• Yes, you can immediately resume your routine work

or attend any socials.

• There is absolute no downtime after the laser

sessions.
No of sessions required
• Every person has different response to treatment
and on an average 6-8 sessions are required for
best results (90% reduction) with a minimum gap of
4 weeks between the sessions.

• Some may require touch up sessions later which

will be once in 3-4 months depending on residual
hair growth.
 Follow up Schedule
• 4 weeks gap between session 1 and 2

• 6 weeks gap between session 2 and 3

• 8 weeks gap between session 3 and 4

• 10 weeks gap between session 4 and 5

• 12 weeks gap between session 5 and 6.

 Do’s & Dont’s
• Waxing, threading, bleaching, plucking is not allowed in
between the sessions as it will take away the black roots
on which the laser works on.

• Sessions will be given only when there is sufficient

growth for the required body part. For follow up, one full
body session will be divided into max 2 visits if required.

• In between sessions, if you need to get hair removed

you can shave your hair and then take laser session at
your scheduled time.
 Post Care
• Avoid hot water bath for 24hours.

• Strict sunprotection is required after laser sessions.

• Apply a sunscreen on exposed parts be it indoors

or outdoors every 3 hourly between 9am-5pm.
Ideally at 9am-12pm-3pm.

• Apply calamine lotion/moisturiser 3-4 times a day

incase if you have any discomfort or redness.
 what to expect?
•The hai root is destroyed and the dead root comes
out in 7-10 days, so u may feel the growth is
immediate and laser is not working - but don't worry
about that- its the dead root which is coming off and
it may or may not fall off in 15-20days.

•It takes time 15-20 days for it to fall off. So overall,

you wont notice much result in 1 session.

•The result is always visible after 2-3 sessions in the

form of slower and finer growth.
• During the course of treatment, with every session
the hair gets gradually finer and lighter in colour.

• Upto 90% hair reduction is visible in average 6

sessions leaving only sparse fine hair which is
aesthetically acceptable and barely visible.

• Hence it is known as permanent reduction and

not removal.
Requirement for home visit
1. A bed

2. A 3-pin active plug point nearby bed

3. Air-condition in the room

4. A side table/ chair

5. Mirrors in the room to be covered if possible.
