Policy/Term paper guideline

1. Policy/Term paper bears 15 Marks (paper 10 marks, presentation 5


marks)
2. Max 10-pages, 1.5 space, 11 or 12 font size. A4 size paper.
3. Term paper due date is DEC 30, 2021.
4. The presentation would be on Jan 4, 2022.
5. You must write a one pager term paper proposal and verify with the
faculty by Dec 9, 2021.
6. You must select a topic which is relevant to the course curriculum and
can be done within the time frame and scope. Term paper should be
based on economic analysis of the topics related to economy, GDP,
unemployment, inflation, exchange rate, interest rate, banking sector,
insurance sector, fiscal policy, monetary policy, government budget,
trade, trade deficit, export, import, investment, corporate business,
SME business, consumer preferences, health care investment, capital
market, stock, bond, treasury bills, mobile financial system, digital
economy, digital financing system, savings and credit, and any topic
related to these issues.
7. Without the term paper proposal, the final term paper will not be
accepted.
8. Term paper topic may be chosen from the course content provided in
the course description of this course.
9. You must do a poster presentation to the class of your term paper
(only one slide will be made and should be sent as JPG file to the
course teacher by DEC 30, 2021. Your presentation time is sharp 3 min.
Failure to present in 3 min will be counted as unfinished)
10.The Format of the term paper proposal and the term paper as follows:

 Title of the term paper


 What are the required variables of the term paper? What is the dependent variable and
what are the independent variables?
 How do you collect those variables?
 What are the data sources?
 Do you think that you have any obstacle to writing this term paper?
 How to overcome this obstacle

Regression analysis is welcome in the term paper. However, it is not mandatory. Correlation
analysis is also fine. However, the term paper should have a methodology to follow for the
economic analysis. Any type of statistical analysis should be given.

Poster Presentation slide and oral presentation (Due by Dec 30, 2021)
 Poster presentation can be prepared at the MS power point software
 Put your name and ID in the poster presentation
 Do the needful as per the heading of the term paper
 Save the power point slide as *jpg format. (Image format)
 Another format will not be accepted.
 The presentation time is 3 min only and will be strictly maintained. Prepare a script for your
oral presentation that you want to present during the presentation time.
 Sample poster presentation is attached here but the same thing cannot be reproduced.
