The self as conceptualized by Confucius is a deeply relational self
that responds to inner reflection with outer virtue.
The self that Confucius wishes to cultivate in his own person and
in his disciples is one that looks within and compares itself with

E the aesthetic, moral, and social canons of tradition.

In Confucianism the quest for the human self, the search for
what it is to be human in terms of substance or no-substance, in

L terms of spirit or body, does not exist.

The Confucian self is not only a li‐follower, but also a li‐maker. It is
up to oneself to make life meaningful by one's own efforts. ... In

F the process of self‐development, the key is to relating to one's

social commitment, rather than isolating oneself from others
and society.

Confucianism may affect other people. First and foremost, Confucianism is a set of values that
guide individuals on how to live their lives.
in Confucian philosophy they affect the way one behaves toward other people.
Confucius taught that every person has an inherent ethical nature that can be cultivated
through study of his words and the rituals that they prescribe.
by knowing these concepts and acting in accordance with the moral code they teach, a
person can cultivate his or her ethical nature and make a positive contribution to the
community.
Therefore, it is crucial that young people today learn about Confucianism and study its
principles so that they can live a more virtuous life and contribute to the welfare of others or
society.
By teaching one to be respectful and humble Confucianism" teaches people to be considerate
of others and also reflect on their own actions.
Therefore, these values not only affect the individual, but society as a whole and This can
affect how others interact with them.

Since there are no Confucian gods, Confucius is worshiped as a
spirit rather than a deity.
He served as a statesman, editor, philosopher, and educator
during the spring and autumn eras of Chinese history.
He started out as a teacher in his 30’s and was the first in China.
His ideology encourages moral behavior in both a personal and a
social relationship, as well as justice and sincerity.
Education is important to Confucius because he thinks it
influences how people improve their moral character and
develop virtues with integrity.
