Vineyard to Offer Free White Wine to Customers August 4

HAMMONDSPORT, N.Y. (March 10, 2023) — In honor of National White Wine Day on
August 4, Weis Vineyards of the Finger Lakes is offering the first glass of the 2022 Best
White Wine free at every Finger Lakes Winery throughout the week.

As a part of the Finger Lakes United Campaign, Weis Vineyards is partnering with the
100 wineries across the Finger Lakes. Every winery tasting room will carry a select
number of bottles of the 2022 Best White Wine Winner: 2020 Winzer Select Riesling A.

In addition to winning 2022’s Best White Wine, Weis Vineyards won 2022’s Winery of
the Year. “It is such an honor to be recognized like this. Being just five years old, we
never imagined we’d be where we are today,” said co-owner and general manager Hans
Peter Weis. “We wanted to find a way to give back to the community after they have
helped to get to this point. Weis Vineyards would not be the same without this
community.”

According to co-owner and tasting room manager Ashlee Weis, the free wine is a way to
offer an inexpensive treat for those vacationing in one of the most prominent wine
countries.

Weis Vineyards is the product of the passion the Weis family has for handcrafting
traditional German-style wines for all to enjoy. Hans Peter Weis left his family winery in
2006 before stumbling across the Finger Lakes region. Weis Vineyards harvested their
first vintage in 2016 and officially opened their doors in the spring of 2017.
