TECHNICAL QUALITY
One of the forms in evaluating an image particularly on media messages is its technicality.

One of the ways to evaluate Technical quality of an image is its purpose (read the sentence
slide 14) . It talks about how relevant the image is for the message that you want to convey.

Next is (read the second sentence) this is about visual quality of an image since color, light, or
the intensities of the image can affect the viewer's interpretation.

And then (read the third and 4th sentence). So to summarize this it is in regards to how images
can capture the attention and imagination of the viewer. And how it is vital to consider its
technicalities for it will affect how you gonna utilize this image in conveying a message. Thus,
having a quality image will make people want to know more, which increases the chance of your
caption being read accurately.

CONTEXTUAL INFO
When we say contextual info it is about how the images can affect the text or content of the
message. Wherein it provides information that is relevant to an understanding of the text.

In evaluating messages and images in different types of text that reflect different cultures it
somehow takes so much effort since you need to (read the statement 1-7).

With these guides it suggests that it is important to know first where and when the messages or
the text, the image came from since it does matter. More specifically to the language being used
since as we all know it is quite common for a word to have two or more completely different
meanings. As well as symbolism it allows people to express complex ideas while giving the
reader or the viewer a visual, sensory experience while comprehending the message.

For the information if everybody when we say the


term iconography, it comes from the Greek eikon, means image and graphos, means in writing.
It is the study of subjects and their symbols in art.
The study of art objects has long depended on and it has a relation to the determination of the
conventional language of subjects and of symbolic meanings in images.

So I am talking about this iconography, about art and such since we are talking here about
image and an image can have a literal or primary significance. The meaning of the image
depends on both of these layers of significance, and it derives importance from the fact that
both layers are visible to the people for whom it was made since we do have different
interpretations of such images.

Like a Medieval art, it is often highly symbolic, and medieval viewers frequently read several
layers of symbolic meaning into images in the level of their perception.
