Task 1:

The graph illustrates the number of five different kinds of transportations that had been used by the
Australian from 2010 to 2014.

Overall, as can be seen from the table that there were a upward trend of the people using vehicles in
Australia. In addition, the passenger vehicles were used the most by these people. In contrast light
trucks weren’t used much by the Australian. Moreover, the percentage of people using motorcycles had
the most significant rose.

The figure of passenger vehicles had been used in 2010 were 11,800,000, it rose to 12,700,000 in 2012
and hit the highest point in 2014 at 13,000,000. It experienced the increase of 10.2%. The increase of
people using commercial vehicles were higher than that of passenger vehicles at 17.4%. There were
2,300,000 of commercial transportations used in 2010. And the number of it jumped to 2,600,000 in
2012 and 2,700,000 in 2014.

The number of people using motorcycles had the highest growth at 30.8% with 540,000 in 2010,
680,000 in 2014 and 709,000 in 2015. In the same period, heavy trucks gain 8,3% with 384,000, 390,000
and 416,000 in 2010, 2012 and 2014 respectively. The number of light trucks in Australia saw a jump
from 106,000 in 2010 to 131,00 in 2014 with a growth of 23.5%.
