Chapter III

Research Methodology

This chapter presents the methods to be used in the study. It also describes the
subjects of the study, the instruments used, the procedures in the gathering of data and
the statistical treatment of the data that the research applied.

I. Research Design (5 paragraph)

In order to see the general impact of….. the researchers used…..

1. What kind of r1esearch are you undertaking? (qualitative or quantitative), the

explain the appropriateness of that research by its definition.
2. What research design did you utilized in the study? (choose 1 or 2 methods and
then define those and explain why it is appropriate in your study?
3. What method did you established in your stud? (interview, questionnaire etc)
explain the method and why it is appropriate in the study.

II. Respondents of the Study (2 paragraphs)

The researchers considered the Grade 12 students of ……….

1. You must write the description of your sample population, who are they, the
location, how many are they, if they are students of grade 12 form different
schools, you must include the names of the schools and how many are they,
what particular strand. Then you must present here also what sampling
technique did you used to your respondents. Also the technique to be
used(probability/nonprobability/slovins formula) and the characteristics of your
respondents (female, male, what age)

III. Data Gathering Instruments (2-3 paragraphs)

A questionnaire was used as instrument to gather data from the selected

respondents. The questionnaire has 3 parts……….

1. What technique are you going to use to gather data from your respondents, if
that is survey then what kind of survey is it survey questionnaire or survey
interview, if survey questionnaire what kind of questionnaire would it be
paper-pencil questionnaire or web-based questionnaire, likewise for the
survey interview.
2. You must include also the sample questionnaire here.
IV. Data Collection Procedures (3-4 paragraphs)

To attain the purpose of the study, the researcher employed a paper-

pencil questionnaire to collect authentic and valid data from the
respondents. The researchers personally administered the distribution of
questionnaire to the respondents. They conferred and discussed first the
coverage and purpose of the study after accomplishing the distribution of
the materials.

The respondents were given allotted time of 15 minutes to

accomplish the forms…….

After the questionnaires have been accomplished, the results were

tallied and tabulated. This data became the basis of analysis and
interpretation.

1. In this part you will just narrate in an objective why how are you going
to gather data, the distribution of materials, the returning of the
materials to the researchers. As well as the condition of the materials
before and after the distribution.

V. Data Analysis Plan (Ill be sending the complete data analysis plan)

In this part you will present the likert scale.

Likert Scale Verbal Interpretation

4 Strongly Agree
3 Agree

1 Strongly Dis-Agree

Formulas:

Weighted Mean

W=
∑ WX
N

Where:
W = points (4,3,2,1)

X = number of respondents per weight

N = total number of respondents

For the analyzation and interpretation of data, let us computation the weighted
mean using the response of the sample population.

It will base from the number of your SOP.
