LESSON PLAN (30 minutes)

Introduction/Hook (10 minutes)

● Watch the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Nf2Pzcketg&ab_channel=Mylemarks
● During the video, the teacher will prepare the materials

Body (25 minutes)

● Highlight using a stress ball as a way to manage stress
● ACTIVITY: make stress balls
o Split students into groups of 2
o Each group will make a paper funnel that fits inside a water bottle
o Each group will come to the teacher to receive corn starch. They will bring with them 2
balloons, a water bottle, and their paper funnel.
o Using the funnel, the teachers will spoon about ⅓ - ½ cup of cornstarch into the empty
water bottle. Use the chopsticks as needed to help the corn starch get into the water
bottle.
o Once both water bottles are full of corn starch, set aside. Blow up the balloons to a small
size.
o Without letting the air out, securely attach each balloon onto a water bottle top.

o SLOWLY release the excess air.
o Tie off the balloon
o Use the permanent markers to decorate the balloon.
