1 SCOPE
The scope of this document is to explain the method and procedure for sourcing the content of
Pressure Transducers category for the Cubyt project. Details that are specific to the products,
Model, and range, of the specification will be addressed in this standard work instruction. All other
common instructions must be referred to in General work instruction “RU-SW-001”.
Basic Types
• Input Transducer
An input transducer or a sensor takes in physical energy and converts it into an electrical signal
that can be read. A microphone, for example, converts physical sound waves into an electrical
signal that can be transferred through wires.
• Output Transducer
An output transducer, or an actuator, takes in electrical signals and converts them into other
forms of energy. A lamp converts electricity into light and a motor, on the other hand, converts
electricity into motion.

3 FAQ
3.1 QUESTION 1:
On the OEM website, the specifications are available in a datasheet or Specification sheet, Catalog or
Broachers and User Manuals. To source the specification, which of these documents could be used?
Note: the document nomenclature may vary between manufacturers. If you have any doubts, use slack
channels to clarify the same.
3.2 QUESTION 2:
How to capture the operating, Temperature error band, and Compensated temperature for the below
example
Answer:
3.3 QUESTION 3
How to consider the drift spec?
Answer: Capture it in the note’s column. Because it clearly specifies "for the Zero and Span
3.4 QUESTION 4:
Where to capture the functional spec.?
3.5 QUESTION 5:
How to capture the Output ranges for the mV/V output quantity?
Answer:

3.6 QUESTION 6:
What needs to be captured under the modifier’s column?
Answer: Modifiers will indirectly affect the accuracy when there is a change in the laboratory
temperature (Apart from the specified range) during the calibration process.

3.7 QUESTION 7:
How to source the specification for the same range but with different temperature limit?
Answer: Capture the temperature ranges in Spec. Qualifiers and capture the same range but with
different accuracy respectively see above image. No need to split the specification with respect to
temperature.
3.8 QUESTION 8:
What is mean by Update Rate? Do we need to capture the fast and Standard in “Mode”.
Answer: Update rate is, How fast the output is refreshed. So, this is not affecting the calibration.
Can keep the mode as “Normal” and no need to source the Spec. twice with normal & fast mode.
3.9 QUESTION 9:
What does the reference temperature mean in the below specification?
Answer: Reference temperature is the temperature @ which the actual accuracy can be reached, hence
this reference temperature needs to be captured in qualifiers column and the respective accuracy should
be captured.
