1. List five skills that is needed as a system administrator.

System Administrator - Skills


- Knowledge of different operating systems (Microsoft, Unix, Linux, etc.)
- Basic programming skills - (PHP, JavaScript, etc.)
- Hardware knowledge.
- Attention to detail.
- Problem solving mindset.

2. List the important tasks and responsibilities of a system administrator.

System Administrator responsibilities include :


- Installing and configuring software, hardware and networks
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
- Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure

3. What is an RFC? How has it related to network administration?

In the computer network engineering and design realm, a Request for Comments
(RFC) is a memorandum published by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF)
describing methods, behaviors, research, or innovations applicable tot he working of
the Internet, along with Internet-connected systems.

4. What is the difference between VMware and VirtualBox?

- VMware is virtualization software that helps you to run multiple operating


systems in a single host.
- VirtualBox is an Oracle tool to provide host-based virtualization.
