Subject: Obtaining prior import permit for shipment of animal and plant consignments

Referring to the letter issued by the Ministry of Environment Water & Agriculture No.
(1442/1254/373231) dated 17/7/1442H, which state the requirement of obtaining prior import
permit from (Anaam Plus) platform or (Hasad), in order to import shipment of animal and plant
consignments.

Therefore, Saudi Ports Authority stresses on beneficiaries to obtain prior import permit from
the Ministry of Environment Water and Agriculture’s platform (Anaam) for animal
consignments, (Hasad) for plant consignments, or through the Ministry’s website prior to
shipping the consignments to the Kingdom, to ensure the consignments are not rejected when
they reach the port, and to not ship animal and plant consignments to the Kingdom along with
passengers until ensuring the prior import permit has been issued form the Ministry of
Environment Water & Agriculture.

Approved for implementation and taking the necessary measures to start implementing the
mentioned procedures.
