Tech Mo’to: A Developmental Study about a “Technician on the Go

App”

Chapter 1: Introduction

Background of the Study

Hanif et al. (2017) discussed that the introduction of mobiles and applications in

various fields has ushered in a revolution in the last decade. There has been some

overwhelming change since the quarantine started. Forbade to go outside, prohibited to

go to work nor school, etc. But one of the worst changes is not being able to go

wherever people needed to. Such is one of the massive changes because it affects

people's ability to earn money, buy groceries, go to specific shops. It has affected the

nation's daily lives. What we used to do every day has suddenly been taken from us.

While this problem has still been in effect up to this time, humanity has found ways to

counter this very problem. That is the goal of this study. To develop an app that will

make specific people at ease during these times. An app that will send a technician to

your doors whenever you have issues with your computer or other gadgets.

Due to the corona pandemic, most of the usual technician was affected by the

massive global effect of the virus thus making the vast population of the technicians

jobless. This will enable them to recuperate and stand again from the effects of this

global pandemic. This will lessen the risk of contamination as this minimizes the

exposure and hazards to oneself.

The decision has been made to create/study this research study so that the

researchers can open an opportunity for the technicians that were affected by the virus,

giving them the job that can provide top quality service and be delivered to your

doorstep without the worry of spreading the coronavirus.

Objective of the Study

The objective of the research is to provide a repair application. A Repair

application called "Tech Moto". This software can send a technician directly to your

home to repair your gadgets such as cellphone, consoles, computers, and laptops.

- To repair your gadgets as soon as possible so that you can

now use and enjoy your personal gadgets.

- To examine this application if is useful especially during this pandemic.

- To learn and improve more the application "Technician on the go app".

- To help the people save time and less hassle instead of going to

mall just to fix your gadgets.

- To make you and your family safe. It is dangerous

to go outside today because of the pandemic, your safety is our priority.

Significance of the Study

This study aims to point out more factors that resulting from the unavailability of a

gadget and the aftermath of it after it go through our application “Tech Moto”.

The research will be beneficial in one way or another to the following:

Computer/Laptop Users. Not all people are into computer specially

adults. That’s why we break that bound to help them to know more about

technology on this application. This will guide them on the basics that they

already know and in later process they can somehow be techy and go to flow of

the generations with ease.

Technicians. Due to the different reason of peoples who lost their job this

app also guides a better way for them exclusively for the computer related

persons. This application will benefit them what to do in those times of instances.

After that maybe one of them now can be employed because of their new

adopted skill.

Computer Society. The group of this people is the real deal of this app

because not just it helps you for techy reasons but it also merges you to build

strong and private secured group for each and every one. It may be confusing

but it guaranteed an access to all they wanted to like tutorials, guides and many

more about computers. They will understand and will be more aware of the situations

because of this crisis having benefits from a research is their key to their safe

cybersecurity. This study will also serve as a footnote for further developing other kinds

of related studies.

Students. One of the beneficiaries of the study is the students who tends to learn

more on the app. Because of this their value of work can be helpful with this app. On

programming or even self-used computer needs. They can also be a contributor and

test this out on their OJT with their respective moderators.

Teachers. This research may help teachers to understand on how to handle

different kind of application. They can also pass this skill to their students.

School Administration. The institution itself has hindrances. With this

research, this may help the school establish a secured and safer type of quality of an

app. With the use of this, school systems will have a higher chance to not get hack.

Scope and Limitation of the Study

This study will focus on the developmental study about "Tech Moto" the tech go

app will be a new way to contact and communicate with technicians near your area to fix

and give your technical devices maintenance however this study limited of surveys and

information due to pandemic but the researchers have access to internet connection

that will serve as their way of communication. The output of this study may help on the

development and may act as a foundation in making these kinds of platforms even

possible in the “New Normal”. Especially to those who are still struggling with their

broken gadget and cannot go outside that easily to get their stuff fixed because of

certain reasons such as budget, time, travel restrictions, and etc. This study will benefit

both university of the east students and outsiders. Questionnaires will be made and sent

online to Grade 12 ICT Students of University of the East (Caloocan-Campus) via

Google Forms to avoid physical contacts.

In conducting the surveys, it will be limited because of the pandemic occurring.

Like the researcher’s capabilities, resources, budget and time of the researcher. And

because of these, the study/app will not cover other online platforms and interactives

that are not connected to the app itself. And when it comes to the app, it can only

recommend/suggest specs that are qualified, tested, and proven by credible

sources/company to ensure the best quality of service it can serve. Before the app

sends off a technician to your home, the technician should be a college graduate of

BSIT, BS in Comp. Science, BS in Comp Engineer, and other related courses to its

service to ensure that your gadget is safe and sound when It is being fixed. Also, the

technician should also comply a medical certificate stating that he/she is negative from

the virus and will undergo in a proper training on how to execute the fixing with the right

health protocols. And when it comes to the payments, it can be online sent via Gcash,

Paymaya, or Online banks. It is up to the customer if he/she wants cash on delivery. It

also have a public forums section to let them have conversations about some problems

of individuals that are fixed/troubleshooted by some other people.
