cartridges. Rinse everything thoroughly with water. Make sure that all
containers, pumps tubes are completely empty.
2. Fill the modules for the Predip and the Immersion Tin Bath with water. Add
3 % vol. to 5 % vol. (do not add more !) of sodium hydroxide solution (50 %,
wear safety goggles and protective gloves!)
3. Heat the solution to 45 – 50 °C.
4. Fully open all valves to the flooding pumps, injector pumps and force feed
nozzles.
5. Run the modules for at least 24 hours, the conveyor system must be switched

15. Close all valves, ascertain yourself again that everything is really closed.
16. Pump in fresh MACStan HSR 3 Immersion Tin solution.
17. The Predip module is either filled with 80 % vol. of the latter solution and
diluted with 20 % of demineralised water. Or with MACStan HSR 3 Acid Dip
(see datasheet for details)
18. Install filter cartridges and close the filter housings.
19. Heat the Immersion Tin to 72 °C and the Predip to 30 °C.
