EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Checkout.id is a website that aims to check stock availability of an item so that customers
don't need to check manually by going to the store directly, but there are also several features on
this website, such as hot sale items, recommendation books, most searched, column bucket,
package and offer and those all will be connected with E-commerce for orders, search column.
On this website customers can also discuss or ask questions because there is also a customer
service that is available 24 hours a day which is controlled by bots but is still monitored by
employees so that customers can also ask programmed non-general questions.

The advantage of this website is that it makes it easier for customers to find and check
stock availability of an item and can even be from anywhere, but this website also has
disadvantages, namely server downtime due to the large number of users accessing it and the
cost of renting a website domain which is expensive. Customers also don't need to worry about
their personal data because this website can be accessed without the need to log in to an account
so that security is guaranteed and for customers who want to subscribe to e-books on this website
they also only need to include their telephone number so this is also guaranteed for security.
CHAPTER I
INTRODUCTION

A. Background

In the current digital era, millennials in Indonesia are utilizing digital


technology in the telecommunication sector. One of the digital services that is
widely used in the millennial era is the website. A website or website is a
collection of information in the form of web pages joined together in a domain or
URL. Websites are one of the most frequently accessed and used media in
searching for various information and means of communication.
The website is used as an information media, where everyone can convey
and receive information. Simply by opening the website address, people can find
out the various kinds of information available on the web page. Our product is a
website named Checkout.id. We choose this business idea because we feel
concerned about the problem that we often found in a store : customers who ran
out of stocks of the items that they want to buy. We made this website in order to
decrease the number of customers that getting unpleasured by founding that their
needs is out of stocks.

B. Profile Product

The features of the product, such as :


● This website can check stock availability.
● There is a customer service where this will be directly connected to whatsapp
contact.
● There are hotsale items, recommendation books, most searched, column bucket,
package and offer and those all will be connected with E-commerce for order,
search column.
● The customer can search for the title of the book by typing the title in the "search"
column on the website.
● There is an assessment from the customer on the website related to the book
which is in the form of a star.

The function of the product, such as :


● Make it easier for customers to check stock availability.
● Make time more efficient in searching for items to buy.
● Make the store more up-to-date and follow the times because it is technology-
based.

The usage system of the product, such as :


● The customer opens the website in Chrome.
● Log in without account login, but the customer also can sign up in the website.
● On the website, there will be several displays such as hotsale items,
recommendation books, most searched, column bucket, package and offer and
those all will be connected with E-commerce for order, search column, etc. (On
this website, customers can check the stock availability of books and the existence
of customer service which will be directly connected to whatsapp contact).
● The customer can also directly search for the book he wants to check for stock
availability by typing the title of the book in the "search" column.

1. Market Segmentation
Demographics Segmentation : the target audiences are men and women with a
percentage of 70% for those aged 17-25 years, and 30% for those aged 35-50
years.
Geographics Segmentation : geographically, our website can be used by people
wholive in Pekanbaru City.
Psychographics Segmentation : psychographically, we are targeting this website
for employees with busy working hours and finding it difficult to find time to go
to a bookstore only to find that the product they are looking for is out of stock.
We also target young people who are often looking for novels which are
sometimes rare and hard to find on the market, making it easier to check the stock
availability of these products.

2. Targeting
Our product in the form of this website will later be targeted at young people
(high school students, university students) to office workers who actively use
online shopping applications aged 17-30 years, entrepreneurs/business people
(products in the form of goods) who have offline stores, people who work as
teachers and lecturers, researchers, writers, and similar fields of work. The
targeted people are people who are used to dealing with books and office supplies
so that it will increase the interest of the target market with the product features
we offer.

3. User Journey Map


● Prospective buyers find Zanafa Bookstore in a web search when looking
for a bookstore to visit. Prospective buyers are curious and try to find out
more about Zanafa Bookstore and find out the location of the bookstore.
● Prospective buyers feel interested and confident in their choice to buy the
product they are looking for at Zanafa Bookstore. On Zanafa's website
profile, prospective buyers will find a menu that directs them to a useful
website (Checkout.id) to check the stock availability of the product they
are looking for.
● Buyers will explore Checkout.id website to check the availability of the
product they are looking for. Buyers consider that the website is useful
enough to make it easier for buyers to find the product they are looking
for, and reduce product purchase failures due to unavailability of stock in
stores so that they can save buyers' time and effort.
● Buyers come directly to Zanafa Bookstore and purchase the products they
have been looking for through the Checkout.id website. Buyers feel that
using the website saves time in searching for the product they want to buy
because buyers do not need to ask the store for product availability
directly. Buyers are also satisfied with the features on the website.

4. Persona (Ms. Jennie)


Ms. Jennie is a 25 year old female student who also became an
entrepreneur at a young age. Jennie is looking for entrepreneurship books to add
her own insight and develop the business she's starting. Some of Ms. Jennie’s
needs to improve her capabilities as an entrepreneur such as a lot of material from
books or reliable sources from the internet about entrepreneurship, a lot of
relationships, and many entrepreneurship webinars.
However, to meet this need, Ms. Jennie found several challenges that
could hamper her efforts to fulfill these needs. She needs to learn to train her time
management between college and take care of her new business which just
started, build a lot of relationships, and maintain its business in the midst of busy
lecture activities.
Of course, as a young entrepreneur who has just started her business,
Jennie's strengths are that she is still willing to learn about entrepreneurship, looks
for many relationships and is able to survive her student status while taking care
of her new business. She is a competitive person in business and is also very
professional in serving her customers.

C. Business Idea Development Plan

We Checkout.id will develop the marketing of this product by consistently


promoting our website with our intermediary customers who are already using our website,
we will encourage them to promote our website through website pop ups. A website pop up
is a technical display contained in a website. Pop up is a graphical interface display, which
is in the form of a small window that will appear suddenly. In the process, pop ups often
annoy users visiting the website.

If a Checkout.id customer clicks on the pop up, we will immediately direct the user
to the application that the user wants to use to promote our website (such as Whatsapp
Status, Instagram Story, Facebook etc). And we will also expand our partnership by
inviting cooperation to more bookstores, shoes, and clothing stores.
CHAPTER III
CLOSING

Current technological developments, more or less affect the community in carrying out
their daily activities. Until in the end, society can be said to be dependent on technology. This
product is in the form of software engineering, namely a website, which provides features that
can make it easier for customers, such as stock items, prices, discounted items, popular items,
and recommendations for the best items. This website is aimed at shops, such as bookstores, shoe
stores, and clothing stores.

As a form of product development, the website will continue to update its system and
structure, which affects the quality and speed of customer browsing. To improve website
security, customized coding will be carried out so that sellers feel safe using this website for their
shops and customers are comfortable using it for shopping. As well as technical tests and reviews
will be carried out on a regular basis. And monitor the running of the website, make
improvements by eliminating bugs on the website and carry out maintenance with periodic
updates.

In addition to developing website security and systems, the features provided will also be
developed. For example, when a dark mode website will be held, customers can change/choose
the appearance of the website as they wish, namely dark mode or light mode. This is useful for
the comfort of the customer's eyes in receiving light when opening this website. In addition, E-
books will be provided, where customers can subscribe to the website to access the E-books
without having to buy the physical book. This is useful for customers who prefer to read digitally
without having to buy physical books.

The website will also provide a chat feature with customer service directly on the website
without having to go to WhatsApp, where this customer service will be controlled by bots so that
they can answer customers 24 hours a day. However, this customer service will be monitored by
the store's customer service employees. So that when the bot cannot answer customer questions
(not general questions), it will connect to wait for a reply from a customer service employee.
