Control The most basic Force techniques, requiring mastery over self.

Control was the rst basic abilities to be learned by an Iron Knight. Force speed Force Cloak Force Concealment (Also known as Force Stealth) Force Sense The Force technique of Force Sense included all abilities enhancing perception of the world around a being. Force Seeing Farseeing Force Empathy Telepathy Alter The most perceptive to the dark side, alter was the last technique taught to Squires. It included powers to create external phenomenon. Telekinesis Force Jump/Leap Force Pull/Push Control Powers that required Control of the Force modied the user's physical state as the user dictated. Most Control powers were defensive, but not all. The Iron Knights teaching method began with the aspect of 'Control'. They meditated to achieve greater understanding of the Force in themselves, as Squires, then learned real Control powers from their masters. Alchaka was an extremely personal Force technique, used during meditation by the Jedi Knights of the Old Republic, and adopted by the Iron Knights. It was a rigorous exercise, that was very hard to perfect. Alchaka meditation involved the repetition of certain positions and the movements required between them, often to the point of exhaustion, in order to help clear the mind and attune the body to the strength of the Force. Art of Movement, it was essentially what it sounded like: a higher form of movement developed for use by the Iron Knights. The Order trained their Squires in this art by means of an obstacle course. A reex and agility exercise; students were ordered to traverse a difficult obstacle course within the Temple, while avoiding beams of light cast from the ceilings, walls, and oors. Art of the Small was a radical Force technique. By narrowing their focus, a Force user could essentially shrink their presence in the Force to a microscopic size. While in this state, the user could operate molecules in any way they wanted, turning them into something completely different. Battlemind was a Force power wherein one's morale and ghting spirit was augmented through sheer focus. Force Absorb, also known as Force absorption, Absorb Energy and Dissipate Energy was a Force ability, that enabled the user to absorb energy, in just about any form, and re-channel it to another location/destination, use it to power one's own abilities, or regain one's strength.

Force Comprehension Force Comprehension was the ability to absorb and interpret great quantities of information rapidly by speeding up the user's neural processes. Force Comprehension required that the user possess at least a basic knowledge of the topic he was comprehending. Without this knowledge the user would simply speed up his neural processes and exhaust himself. Force comprehension is considered to be a universal power. Force Concealment / Force stealth also referred to as Buried Presence was a power that was used by highly skilled Force-sensitives to mask their Force alignment (Light or Dark), their ability to use the Force, or even their entire presence from other Force sensitives. Force Enlightenment was a light side Force power. When activated, this power took the defensive Force powers a Jedi was most skilled in, pushing them to the highest degree that the Jedi had previously mastered during his or her routine training. The end result is an "enlightened" Iron Knight, having unlocked and harnessed fully the light side of the Force. Force Ghost The Force ghost was the soul and essence of a deceased Force-sensitive who denied the will of the Force upon death, yet was able to interact with the living, albeit not physically. Force Repair Similar to Fore Heal except it only works on mechanical devices and Droids. Force Protection A power only achieved by high-rank Iron Knights, Force protection made the bearer invulnerable to a wide range of attacks; the ultimate power in terms of defense. Force protection was a light side Force power. Protection could wear off quickly than normal if said user was overpowered. This would vary depending on the intensity and number of attacks as well as any other action the user was performing simultaneously, since the aura itself could only withstand as much as its user was capable. There was also another use for Force protection referred to as Force Armor, and more commonly use by the Iron Knights, that would protect the user against Force attacks and some physical attacks. It was mainly used in combat against dark side users and the like. Force Valor is a light side Force power that increased the resolve, accuracy, and speed of one's self and one's allies. Tapping into the Force, an Iron Knight could increase the rate at which it's capacities functioned, allowing it to move more quickly, strike more powerfully, and ght with improved accuracy. The more wise, charismatic, and skilled the caster was, the more profound the effects of Force Valor were. Morichro Similar to a Force trance, morichro suspended biological functions, including breathing and heart rate. But unlike a Force trance, it could be turned on others, making it an effective way of subduing enemies. However, failure to monitor a targeted opponent could render them permanently unconscious or cause them to die of dehydration or starvation. Because of it is such a dangerous power it is taught only to the most skilled Iron Knights. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Sense Powers that involved Sense of the Force required deeper feeling and understanding of the Force to acquire information about the world around the Force-user. The information could be physical, emotional, Force-like, or other. Squires begin learning Sense powers early in their training, near the time of lightsaber combat training. Fighting-sight was a particular form of highly accurate precognition used by the Aing-Tii, experts in the manipulation of space and time, in battle.

Force Listening was a Force technique used by the Theran Listeners to hear through the Force. With it, Force-sensitives could understand words in another language or listen to beings talking from a distance. Force Meld, otherwise known as Jedi meld or Battle meld, was a technique where a number of Force users joined their minds together through the Force, drawing strength from each other. A renement of battle meditation, it was known to the ancient Jedi, though dangerous. While battle meditation could inuence both the Force-sensitives and the unsensitives of both sides, Force Meld concentrates on coordinating and improving the Force-sensitives of the user's side. Force Seeing, Force sight, or Force seeing, was a basic Force ability, perhaps related to Force sense. It enhanced the bearer's visual and spatial perception even in the dark or behind walls. Trained users could have their sight amplied and were able to counter Force persuasion and Force blinding powers. Force Sense was one of the most basic Force abilities for an Iron Knight. It could be used to feel another being's feelings, the future, ripples in the Force caused by momentous or traumatic events, impending danger and the presence of the dark side. A more concentrated, more directed form of this ability was likely how Jedi were able to see others without relying on their physical senses. Precognition The ability of foresight is perhaps universal to all Force-sensitives and was manifested in the form of Force Visions of future events, or helped the Iron Knight predict his opponent's movements. Battle Precognition or Blink was another variant of precognition. This power allowed the practitioner to anticipate others' actions when engaged in a ght. Shatterpoint were a complex Force phenomenon, perceivable only by an unknown innate talent or immense focus and concentration on the part of the Force-user. Shatterpoints were akin to fault lines, and adept Force-users were able to perceive these faults through the Force, and inuence them. Psychometry or telemetry was a Force power that was a mental technique of picking up impressions and traces of information about the object touched and the events that have surrounded it. This power allowed the user to view events as if they were there, including the sights, sounds, and feelings, both emotional and physical, that the wielder of the object experienced. This power was easier to use on personal objects that were used frequently. Objects that were used once or by several people often made the use of this power difficult, though it was still possible. This skill was useful for tracking though it was not useful in open battle and would fail to render useful information at times. Force Empathy was a Force power related to Force Sense, but involved picking up impressions of an individuals emotional state. Farseeing, Farsight or far sight is the ability to gain vague impressions of events happening in other places or times using the Force. These visions focus on strong imagery and emotions. The future is always in motion, however, and is thus subject to change. Iron Knights skilled in this technique are capable of detecting when friends and apprentices are in danger, examining details of past events, and predicting the probable outcome of a stated course of action. Sometimes, if the Iron Knight was in meditation for long enough, in farsight their spirit could leave their body

for a limited amount of time, making their spirit able to go where they please. This was used for reconnaissance in a hostile place. Force Visions were rarebut powerfulaspects of the Force, and considered the cornerstone of the Unifying Force. Telepathy was the very basic ability to mentally communicate over small or vast distances with other individuals. Every Force user, was able to use it. The range of telepathy itself is theoretically innite, but the telepath must be able to sense the presences of those they wish to contact. Thus, communicating with non-Force-sensitives became nearly impossible over distances greater than a handful of kilometers, and the typical upper limit for Force-sensitives was approximately 1,000 kilometers. However, individuals who were siblings, related, lovers, or lifelong friends, or who were once master and apprentice, were known to communicate across ranges far longer than that, and, in extreme cases, the link apparently had no limit. Comprehend Speech is a Force ability that enables a Jedi to understand the spoken language of any sentient he/she is interacting with, though it does not necessarily allow him/her to speak it, merely understand the general meaning. ____________________________________________________________________________ Alter Powers that require a user to Alter the Force granted a limited inuence to the universe to make changes in it. A Force-sensitive could modify its surroundings in a most spectacular way, seemingly by will. Alter Damage was a Force power used by several Iron Knights during lightsaber combat. With this power, Iron Knights were able to reduce the damage inicted by their lightsaber so that it did not deal lethal damage. The Iron Knight had to rst sense how much life energy, or strength, their opponent had and then had to use the Force to reduce the damage the weapon inicted so that a murderous wound could be reduced to one that was less likely to severely damage. Iron Knights were known to use this power to simply incapacitate their opponents rather than kill them. This power was only possible to use when an Iron Knight was wielding a lightsaber. Alter Environment was a Force power that involved various techniques that allowed the user to manipulate nature, enabling the creation of phenomena such as Force whirlwinds or fog that could be used to attack or to shield the user from opponents. Plo Koon further modied this ability with his considerable knowledge of physics. Alter Environment could be used to manipulate temperatures, creating freezing sub-zero temperatures in seconds, or blistering heat that could burn. With this ability, a user could generate electrical discharges over broad expanses of ground, vacate areas of air, or increase the pressure of the air to burst eardrums. The power allowed a Force-adept to form small earthquakes and ssures or gather the moisture in the air to bring about ash oods. Moreover, Alter Environment could inuence already existing natural occurrences. For instance, a thunderstorm could be manipulated to unleash a burst of lightning, rain clouds to start up torrential rains, or cause the sky to hail. Windswept seas could be coaxed to rear up in massive waves or form whirlpools. Animal Friendship, also referred to as Beast Control or Beast Trick, was the Force ability to calm an animal. Once calmed, the animal would be tamed enough to be ridden or to simply remain calm. Battle Meditation was a Force ability which considerably boosted the morale, stamina, and

overall battle prowess of an individual's allies while simultaneously reducing the opposition's combat-effectiveness by eroding their will to ght. With the Force, one could coordinate entire eets of ships, allowing them to perform at maximum efficiency, acting as a single entity with the ability to counter every enemy move quickly and effectively. Though ideal for meditating largescale conicts, battle meditation was equally effective when employed for the benet of one's comrades in small skirmishes, attacks, and duels. Combustion was the Force ability that allowed users to cause an object explode by sheer force of will. It was rarely used on a person, and the effects on inanimate objects and persons was devastating. Depending on the size, density and vulnerability of the object in question, combustion would become harder or easier to use successfully. It is disputed whether combustion could be prevented and stopped if another force user concentrated on an object to prevent it from exploding. This may have cancelled it out, or it may have done nothing. Dopplegnger The caster could perceive all of the dopplegnger's senses, and to those interacting with it, the dopplegnger seemed real. The user could even interact with the world using telekinesis to move objects, furthering the believability of the illusion. The doppleganger could also be detected by all droid audio and video sensors. The doppleganger would fade away if the force-user was injured and ceased using the power. Droid Disable, Ionize was a Force power developed during the Old Sith Wars that allowed a Jedi to overload and damage electronic systems, such as droids. When employed, a stream of ionic energy generated by the Force would be unleashed upon the targeted mechanism and bore some similarity in appearance to Force lightning. However, the stream of energy traveling from the user to the target (or targets, if skilled enough) was purple, as contrary to the blue-white appearance of Force lightning, a nod to its stream of ions. Electric Judgment showed up as yellow or green energy instead of blue or white, but otherwise it was very similar in both appearance and usage to the Force power known as Force lightning. Force Barrier, or Force (war) shield was both an offensive and defensive Force power, aligned neither with the light or dark sides of the Force, that created a barrier or wall of Force energy around the intended target, be it self, friend, or foe. Force Bellow Force bellow was a power in which the user would amplify their voice using the Force. Force Blinding Force Blinding was a telekinetic light side Force power. Upon use of this technique, a blinding ash of energy emanated from a user's hand, manifesting as a ash of light that overloaded a target's vision, causing temporary blindness. A powerful tool of the light side, an Iron Knight could obfuscate an opponent's sight, making it difficult for the adversary to spot and attack the Iron Knight or anyone else. Force Cloak Some Force users with this rare ability could use the Force to photo-kinetically bend light and sound waves around themselves, rendering them invisible to others, both visually and through Force. Since it physically bent light like a cloaking device, this power could be used to hide from beings such as droids and the Yuuzhan Vong, beings normally immune to Forcebased illusions. It demanded a great deal of concentration in order to maintain and consumed much more energy than other Force techniques. Force Confusion Among the more advanced mind trick techniques was Force confusion, which could be used in combat to temporarily manipulate enemies to ght as an ally. It was especially

useful when outnumbered, and was quicker to employ than affect mind in the heat of battle. Force Defend, Force protection was a light side Force power. This ability would make the bearer invulnerable to a wide range of attacks until the user discontinued its use, or it wore off when the user became fatigued. Protection could also wear off quicker than normal if said user was overpowered. This would vary depending on the intensity and number of attacks as well as any other action the user was performing simultaneously, since the aura itself could only withstand as much as its user was capable. There was also another use for Force protection referred to as 'Force Armor', which would protected the user against Force attacks and some physical attacks. It was mainly used in combat against dark side users. Force Deection (without a lightsaber) Force Deection was a Force power used by Jedi and Sith who were without a lightsaber, or chose not to carry one. It took much skill in the Force to use this, however, and most Iron Knights used their lightsabers instead to deect incoming attacks. Force Flash was a Force power employed when the person using it did not want to be seen. Related to Droid Disable, the user could temporarily disable a security holocam, causing a brief period of static, allowing the user to pass while only alerting security to a minor holocam malfunction. Another usage of the Force under the same name allowed the Force-user to produce an unnatural ash of bright light, temporary blinding his opponents. Force Illusion was a very powerful Force ability, a subset of the various mind trick powers. The user projected an image into the minds of beings within range, of anything from a pillar of re to a horde of snarling monsters to a eet of warships, depending on the range. The user could "see" the illusion as well, though it would be only partially there, semi-transparent like a hologram. Force Jump, also known as Force Leap, used the Force to augment the user's natural leaping ability. Force-users adept in this technique could perform awe-inspiring vertical/horizontal leaps with impunity. Force Light was an immense light-side Force power used by Jedi. When used against a darksider, Force light would weaken the darksider's connection to the Force. With the light of the Force, an Iron Knight could either purge or contain dark side manifestations or nexus points, whether in places, spirits, or even living persons, though sometimes to detrimental effect. By channeling the Force into withering blasts of light-side energy, the darkness can then be diminished or destroyed permanently. Force light could also be used to sever the bond between a Sith battlelord and his or her followers. Wall of Light was an immense Force power used by Iron Knights. Though similar to the Jedi ability Force Light, this ability was unique in that it required the collective focus of multiple Iron Knights, simultaneously channeling their Force power into a single, devastating attack. Using the light side of the Force, the group of Iron Knights could create a wall of light side energy, that effectively traps the dark side spirit or taint within a specic location. When used against an individual, the power was similar to blocking one's connection to the Force, and could either be a temporary connement or a permanent blockage. This ability required a great concentration of light side power, as it could have potentially deleterious results. Force Orb was a Force power which served as an attack. Under normal circumstances, it only worked underwater. It could also sometimes be used on land by gathering moisture in the area. Force Persuasion, Mind tricks refer to a spectrum of Force powers which inuenced the

thoughts of sentient creatures, most commonly used to coerce into agreement by suggestion through voice manipulation, or to cause one to reveal information. This allowed its practitioners to resolve matters in a non-violent way. It could also be used to appeal to a sensory impression for distraction or cause friendly re among enemies. Force Protection See Force Defend. Force Pull/Push, Force Pull A telekinetic ability using the Force that could cause a material body to draw close to the caster. The greater the user's aptitude with this, the heavier the object that could be pulled or the more wide arc or radius of the Force "wave". It could be used to pull weapons from enemies, or, at higher levels of skill, the enemies themselves to be brought closer to the Iron Knight's lightsaber range. This power was also very useful when a chasm or hole lay between the caster and the enemies. It could also be used to pull foes to the ground. Force Push was the ability to create a telekinetic impulse via the Force, launching a concussive burst of pressurized air-not unlike the blast of an archaic 'pipe bomb'-that would impact a target with enough force to knock it over, launch it into the air, or even (particularly in the case of fragile materials such as ceramics) shatter it into pieces. The greater the user's telekinetic aptitude, the larger the pressure differential, and thus the stronger the effect and the heavier the target. With practice, a skilled Force user could increase the range and arc of the blast without lowering the average kinetic energy, creating a blanketed wave instead of a focused impulse. Truly gifted practitioners could generate a concussive blast that would radiate from them for dozens of meters in all directions, detonating with the force of a conventional explosive. This power was an effective tool for keeping enemies at a distance. A well-aimed push could have sent the target crashing into a nearby wall or other obstruction, resulting in bludgeoning damage and possible disorientation or blackout. Particularly ruthless Force users would use a well-timed Force push to send their enemies tumbling off penthouse balconies or into deep chasms. Beyond offense, this power had many utilitarian applications, such as activating a control panel that would ordinarily have been out of reach, or pulverizing heavy debris and other obstructions too large to remove without specialized equipment. A trained Force user could resist Force Push, presumably by generating an opposing pressure surge whose wavefront canceled out their opponent's attack. The opponent usually responded by ramping up the pressure to compensate for the increased resistance. From here it became a telekinetic arm-wrestling match, with a seemingly motionless facade belying each combatant's desperate struggle to overpower the other. As events progressed, a pocket of air equidistant from the opponents would have been slowly compacted, until the pressure reached sufficient strength to bend duranium like kshyy vines. As the pressure increased, the pocket would begin to rapidly destabilize, until even the smallest atmospheric disturbance would cause it to rupture. When the pressure reached a critical threshold, the bubble would burst, generating a powerful shockwave Force Stun was a Force power that could temporarily deaden the senses and perceptions of a targeted enemy. It was often used when an Iron Knight faced a large number of opponents or if they wished to disable an enemy long enough to ee from or apprehend them. To use the power, the Iron Knight would use the Force to induce them into a catatonic state. Beings or creatures with a high degree of willpower could resist the effects of this power. In addition, it was ineffective against droids and other inorganic beings. Force Stasis was a more potent version of Force Stun. The Iron Knight would use the Force to deaden the senses of an enemy, inducing a near-catatonic state and in effect freezing that person or being in place. This power was very useful when the Force-user was stuck in tight spots against a superior number of foes.

Force Stasis Field was the highest level of Force Stun. Often learned and practiced by higherlevel Iron Knights, this power allowed the Force-user to put multiple enemies into brief, nonharmful catatonic states at one time, allowing for quick escapes or to avoid protracted confrontations against seemingly overwhelming numbers. This power could also be used to avoid combat entirely, if the wielder wished to apprehend or sneak by opponents put into stasis. Force Suppression was a Force technique used to attack the will of the target, canceling all rst and second tier Force powers. This would individually affect each active Force power. This technique took a great deal of focus to accomplish. Force Breach was an advanced variant of Force Suppression that interrupted all powers in use by the target at the time. It was a technique employed when a foe was preparing for a Force-based attack by disrupting their concentration and scrambling their focus. Force Breach was not a widely known Force power. Force Throw A telekinetic ability of the Force, perhaps related to Force Push. It caused objects, and even people, to be hurled toward a target at an astounding velocity. A skilled Force user could throw multiple, large objects simultaneously at great speed. Force Wave one of the most powerful forms of Force Push. It was essentially a wave of pure Force-energy that pulsed out from the Force user that utilized it, which knocked back anything within the power's blast radius. The strength of Force Wave was extremely potent, and its raw power was on more than one occasion described as a telekinetic explosion. It was more widespread, like a wave, hence the name, and could push multiple opponents at once. It was very useful in tight, cramped quarters when the Force user needed room to move, since Force users could damage their opponents by pushing them into the walls. It could also be used as "crowd control," when overwhelming numbers of enemies immediately swarm toward the user. Using Force Wave gives the Force user time to rethink their strategy and cast more Force powers, or they could also attack fallen opponents as they are stunned. Force Repulse This method is known to gather loose objects, even Humans, and let a out a powerful blow. An extremely powerful telekinetic Force power, similar in function to Force Push, and perhaps even more Force Blow, but on a far larger scale, akin to that of Force Wave. The user created sharp, visible kinetic ripples in space, which expanded outward rapidly, inging nearby objects away at high velocity. The power only affected objects a certain distance away from the user, and therefore anyone could avoid its effects by moving closer to the user. Force Weapon was a Force ability that allowed the user to imbue an unpowered weapon with the Force for a period of time. By channeling energy into the weapon, it allowed the wielder to strike and do more damage than the weapon's simple appearance would suggest. As a useful side effect, a Force-imbued weapon could be used to block lightsabers without damaging the weapon. Force Whirlwind A more advanced form of Force Push, and a feeble version of Force Wave. The Jedi would alter the air currents around an opponent, turning it into a maelstrom. This swirling force would lift an opponent into the air, spin them around, and completely immobilize them. This allowed the Iron Knight to attack without resistance. Levitation was a Force power that allowed Jedi to suspend themselves against the force of gravity. Levitation required no direct physical contact. Using the Force, an individual could then hover in place or move about wherever they desired. Malacia was a Force technique that was used to induce a powerful dizziness and nausea in

enemies by turning their equilibrium against them. It was completely incapacitating, but caused no damage to the body, and so was not considered a dark side power. Even so, the effects of the power were sometimes so severe that it could cause a target to vomit. The principal quality of the technique was that a Force-user utilizes it by transforming a target's energy rather than using their own. An attack with Malacia by a Master was rarely blocked. Mind Trick refers to a spectrum of Force powers which inuenced the thoughts of sentient creatures, most commonly used to coerce into agreement by suggestion through voice manipulation, or to cause one to reveal information. This allowed its practitioners to resolve matters in a non-violent way. It could also be used to appeal to a sensory impression for distraction or cause friendly re among enemies. One sinister variation of the power was "Force Corruption", an ability that would force targets to the users side, while slowly draining their life. Phase Phase was a Force power that enabled the user to pass through solid objects, such as walls and doors Protection Bubble, bubble of safety, was a Force power, probably related to Force Protection. With this ability, the user could create a defensive sphere around their body. It is described as a shimmering blue globe of energy. It could protect the user from a wide range of attacks, deect laser blasts, defend against lightsabers, vacuums and even inict certain amounts of damage upon contact with the enemy. Protection bubbles can also be used offensively. Should the user surround the attacker in a Protection bubble, it is possible the attacker will become a victim of their own attack, having been trapped within its destructive radius. Due to the extreme concentration of needed to sustain the bubble however, the user would have to be momentarily immobile in order to enact the bubble, and sometimes, completely stationary in order to sustain it. Ray Ray was a Force technique used by Iron Knights skilled in energy manipulation. By managing this power, an Iron Knight could turn small amounts of nearby matter into energy that could be controlled. With this energy, an Iron Knight could block attacks from blaster bolts. Sever Force Sever Force was a non lethal Force power by which a being's connection to the Force was interrupted, or blocked from them with a wall of light-side energy. According to the ancient Jedi scholar Odan-Urr, severing an individual's Force connection was the most powerful attack an Iron Knight could perform. Telekinesis, abbreviated TK, was a neutral ability that most Force-sensitives had. With it, they could lift objects according to their concentration and move them, hovering the items in any direction. This ability was the base for Force Pull, Force Throw and Force Push, as well as telekinetic lightsaber combat techniques such as Saber Throw. It could be disputed that these are all the same power applied to different means. ________________________________________________________________________________ Force powers applied to lightsaber combat: Alter Damage was a Force power used by several Jedi & Iron Knights alike, during lightsaber combat. With this power, users were able to reduce the damage inicted by their lightsaber so that it did not deal lethal damage. The user had to rst sense how much life energy, or strength, their opponent had and then had to use the Force to reduce the damage the weapon inicted so that a murderous wound could be reduced to one that was less likely to severely damage. Iron Knights were known to use this power to simply incapacitate their opponents rather than kill them. This power was only possible to use when a practitioner was wielding a lightsaber, as it

was the weapon in which they would most strongly identify. Saber Barrier was a defensive technique, the saber barrier was a telekinetic lightsaber combat technique used by some practitioners of dual-saber combat. It consisted of having the lightsabers whirl hovering in a horizontal circle around the saber-wielding Knight, thus creating a defensive yet deadly wall of lightsaber blades, defending the Iron Knight primarily against melee attacks. Saber Throw was an offensive use of the lightsaber. It is not clear if it was an ability in its own right or a technique combining powers such as Force Pull. The Force user, whether by manually locking the blade in the 'on' position or holding in the activation button using the Force, could throw the lightsaber in a boomerang fashion, with it cutting its way through obstacles and (usually after deactivation) returning to the hand of the caster. Variations in the skill of users meant that some could hurl their lightsabers great distances, make mid-air course corrections, or keep them hovering in place. These techniques, nely honed, could be combined to make telekinetic lightsaber combat possible. Telekinetic lightsaber combat techniques made use of telekinesis in lightsaber combat. Some telekinetic lightsaber combat techniques, like the Saber throw, were offensive, while others were defensive. A defensive technique, called the Saber barrier, was used by practitioners of dual saber combat. It consisted of having the lightsabers whirl in a circle around the Iron Knight, thus creating a defensive, but deadly, wall.
