The Quick Access toolbar is a customizable toolbar that

allows your frequently used commands to be readily

available and easily identifiable. It is located at the top of the
application window, just to the right of the application menu
button. Quick access toolbar contains the following tools
such as QNEW, OPEN, QSAVE, SAVEAS,
OPENFROMWEBMOBILE , SAVETOWEBMOBILE, PLOT,
Undo (Command) and REDO (Command)

QNEW creates a new drawing from the drawing template file and folder path specified
in the Options dialog box, Files tab, Template Settings, Default Template File Name for
QNEW. If template file name is set to None or is not specified, entering QNEW or
clicking New on a toolbar or menu displays the Select Template File dialog box (a
standard file selection dialog box). If you click Start Drawing on the Start tab or click the
+ on a drawing tab, the new drawing is based on the most recently used drawing
template file, or else an internal drawing template is used.

OPEN (Command)
Opens an existing drawing file. The Select File dialog box (a standard file selection
dialog box) is displayed.
When FILEDIA is set to 0 (zero), OPEN displays a Command prompt. You can open
and load a portion of a drawing, including geometry on a specific view or layer. In the
Select File dialog box, click the arrow next to Open and choose Partial Open or Partial
Open Read-Only to display the Partial Open dialog box. (Not applicable to AutoCAD
LT.)

QSAVE (Command)
Saves the current drawing using the specified default file format. If the drawing is
named, the program saves the drawing and does not request a new file name. Use the
SAVEAS command if you need to save a drawing with a different name. If the drawing
is unnamed, the Save Drawing As dialog box (see SAVEAS) is displayed and the
drawing is saved with the file name and format you specify.
When you save a drawing, the operation can either be an incremental save or a full
save depending on the setting of the ISAVEPERCENT system variable. Incremental
saves are faster, but the drawing file will be larger. Saving to a different format always
results in a full save.

SAVEAS (Command)
Saves a copy of the current drawing under a new file name or location.
The new file name becomes the current drawing and the previous drawing closes without
saving any changes to it.

Note: In AutoCAD, if you want to create a copy of the current drawing under a different name
or location without changing the current drawing, use the SAVE command. In AutoCAD LT, the
SAVE and QSAVE commands are identical.
The Save Drawing As standard file selection dialog box is displayed.

In the Save Drawing As dialog box, click Tools:

Options displays a dialog box that controls various DWG and DXF settings.
Digital Signatures displays a dialog box that lets you attach a digital signature, which ensures
that the drawing has not been changed after it was signed.
If you choose to save a file as a drawing template, the Template Options dialog box is displayed,
where you can provide a description for the template and set the units of measurement.

OPENFROMWEBMOBILE (Command)
Opens a drawing file from your online Autodesk Account.

Find
The Open from AutoCAD Web & Mobile dialog box is displayed. This command is similar to the
OPEN command except that the default location is set to the AutoCAD Web & Mobile folder in
your Autodesk Account.

When you Save the drawing, it retains the currently specified DWG format. By default, this is
the AutoCAD 2018 file format. You can specify a different default file format in the Options
dialog box, Open and Save tab.
If the drawing you open contains macros, the AutoCAD Macro Virus Protection dialog box is
displayed. (Not applicable to AutoCAD LT.)
The partner command to opening a file from your Autodesk Account is SAVETOWEBMOBILE.

SAVETOWEBMOBILE (Command)
Saves a copy of the current drawing to your Autodesk Account.
Save To AutoCAD Web & Mobile
When you subscribe to an AutoCAD-based product, you can open and save drawings to your
Autodesk Account from any remote location in the world with internet access, and on any
desktop, web, or mobile device.

The Save to AutoCAD Web & Mobile dialog box is displayed. This command is similar to the
SAVEAS command except that the default location is set to the AutoCAD Web & Mobile folder
in your Autodesk Account.

When you save the drawing, it retains the currently specified DWG format. By default, this is
the AutoCAD 2018 file format. You can specify a different default file format in the Options
dialog box, Open and Save tab.

The partner command to saving a file from your Autodesk Account is OPENFROMWEBMOBILE.

PLOT (Command)
Plots a drawing to a plotter, printer, or file.

The Plot dialog box is displayed. Click OK to begin plotting with the current settings.
The terms printing and plotting can be used interchangeably for CAD output. Historically, printers
would generate text only, and plotters would generate vector graphics. As printers became more
powerful and could generate high-quality raster images of vector data, the distinction largely
disappeared.

U (Command)
Reverses the most recent operation.
You can enter u repeatedly, reversing one step at a time, until the drawing is as it was when you
began the current editing session.

REDO (Command)
Simply, reverses the effects of the previous UNDO or U commands.

The following prompts are displayed.

 Number of actions
Reverses the specified number of actions.

 All
Reverses all previous actions.

 Last
Reverses only the last action.
