SPARKLED with DILIGENCE!

By Mary Wennie L. Anastacio

Preservation and safeguarding the classroom is very important since this is the place where the students
are gaining formal education. Every classroom shall be suitably structured and decorated to make the
surroundings of students conducive to learning. The spaces and facilities reflect the educational
processes and activities that take place in the students so, it must be designed accordingly to become
more effective.

Brigada Eskwela aimed to prepare and improve every learning space before the classes start. To ensure
the delivery of basic quality education, stakeholders were tapped to join in the preparation for class
opening and they came willingly just to be part of bayanihan mode.

Hardworking teachers never get tired of structuring their classrooms for the sake of their students’
safety. Signages are posted at the entrance to the room. Chalkboards and smart TVs are properly
installed to the wall that is, facing to the class. The portrait of the Philippine President and other leaders
are seen in each classroom. Bulletin boards and tack boards are placed suitably on the wall wherein
updated information are displayed such as classroom program, learners’ profile, COVID-19 InfoCorner,
MDRRM, GAD, NDEP and other important school matters. Teacher’s table, chairs and cabinets are
properly arranged at the rear of the room. Health corner is also present in the room which is imperative
in this time of pandemic. Medicines are safely placed inside the first aid or medicine kit. Hand soap,
sanitizers, alcohol, face mask and thermal scanner are all set to check students’ health. Hygiene kit, dish
towel rack, clean comfort room, hand washing and drinking facilities are also available in each
classroom. Seating arrangement of the students is designed for new normal set up.
