 About NPTI

National Power Training Institute( NPTI) an ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 organization under
Ministry of Power, Govt. of India is a National Apex Body for Training & Human Resources
Development in Power Sector with its Corporate Office at Faridabad. NPTI is operating
on all India basis through its regionally located Institutes at Guwahati, Shivpuri, New
Delhi, Durgapur, Neyveli, Bengaluru, and Nangal.

NPTI’s campus is spread over a picturesque landscape of about 15 acres in Shivpuri in

the suburbs of Tourist Hub Like Madhav National Park, Bhadaiya Kund, Tatya TOPE
Memorial Park, Chatri, Shivpuri Museum, Sankhya Sagar, waterfall etc. This institute is
located at Satanwada (Shivpuri) in National Highway, NH3 (A.B.Road) from Gwalior
towards Indore high ways and situated before 18km from Shivpuri Railway Station and
Bus Stop. It is about 100 kms from Gwalior.

The Campus houses the Institute building, Guest House, Hostels, Sports facilities and
Residential quarters for the employees. The main Institute building houses Lecture Halls,
3 Conference Room, Board Room, Library, a Real-time Multifunctional Simulator NPTI
Shivpuri is having state of art multi-functional Simulators with a configuration of
Thermal: 210 MW, 500 MW, 800 MW, 250 MW Hydro & Smart Grid the Only Simulator
in India Installed at NPTIs the facilities for training utilities with Smart controls for RE-
Grid Integration,, IT Centre, and the associated offices etc. NPTI Complex equipped with
CCTV/Wi-Fi. Each class rooms is equipped with latest Technology like Multi Touch
Screen Podium, Projector, Audio Systems and Smart Screen, Wi-Fi facilities.

Long Term & Short Term & Online Training Program

NPTI, Shivpuri conducts many long term, medium term, short term & On-line training
programs on Power Plant Engineering and related areas where individuals from
different power utilities attend. NPTI Shivpuri regularly conducts programs for various
Central/State public sector and private sector organizations on Power Generation,
Power Transmission and Power Distribution, Energy efficiency etc. Apart from the
declared training program, NPTI, Shivpuri also conducts tailor made programs as per
the training need/requirement of the power sector organization.
