Technical Analysis- Concept and tools of Analysis. Efficient Market Hypothesis –Introduction
and types- Random walk theory –Strong and semi-strong and weak forms of
efficiency-Implications and Challenge to security analysis.

MODULE- II- Valuation of securities 15 hours

(Equity and Debt securities)


Risk – Systematic and Unsystematic, minimizing risk exposure, risk measurement. Bond return
and valuation. Types of Bonds. Interest rate risk and purchasing power risk.Yield
curves-Limitations of yield curves.

Stock return and valuation – Constant growth model. Valuation through PE Ratio
