Course Outcomes: Through this course students should be able to

techniques of environmental analysis for entrepreneurs, importance of scanning environment for
business success
Economic Environment : economic system in India, planning in India, fiscal policy of India,
monetary policy of India, globalization of Indian economy
Unit II
Demographic and Cultural Environment : population size, falling birth rate, changing age
structure and its impact on business, culture and business, culture and organizational behaviour
Legal and Political Environment : Competition Act, FEMA, RTI, political system in India, IPR

Unit III
Social Environment : business and society, corporate social responsibility, human development,
rural development
Technological Environment : factors influencing technological environment, role and impact of
technology on business, transfer of technology – channels, methods, and limitations
Unit IV
Taxation System in India : direct and indirect taxes in India, Goods and Services Tax, types and
imposition of GST
Industrial & Investment Policy : industrial policy in India, Foreign Direct Investment, stock
exchange
Unit V
International Organizations & Monetary System : Exchange Rate, IMF, World Bank, Bretton
Woods Conference
International Trading Environment : WTO, tariff barriers and non tariff barriers, international and
regional trading blocs
Unit VI
Government Schemes & Business Environment : digital India, make in India, smart city
initiatives, skill development initiative
Sustainable Development Goals & Business Environment : industry innovation and
infrastructure, decent work and economic growth, climate action and business, reduced inequalities
and its business implications
