Advanced practice environment

Any environment in which an advanced practice nurse works requires that person to be able to

think critically. In order to be knowledge-based, an individual has to be flexible and responsive

to new information and approaches, in addition to having the ability to effectively interact with

people, boost productivity, make split-second judgements, and come up with innovative

solutions to problems (Moorhead et al., 2018). In their line of work, nurse practitioners who have

acquired knowledge-based abilities are in a better position to think creatively, effectively, and

decisively. As a consequence, when the facility supports knowledge-based abilities, the patient

and the staff both develop the habit of doing so, which ultimately leads to better outcomes. The

expansion of a nurse practitioner's knowledge of nursing's responsibilities in patient care,

education, and administration is made possible by evidence-based practice (EBP), which is an

essential component of their line of work. According to Joel (2018), evidence-based practice

(EBP) does not use research nearly to the extent that it might. In spite of the fact that they put

forth their best efforts, nurse practitioners have seen a gradual decline in their capacity to retain

their level of competence as the number of courses they have successfully finished has increased.

It's possible that nurse practitioners who use evidence-based practice will provide the greatest

care for their patients in the midst of the rapidly changing healthcare environment brought on by

advances in technology.
