Literature Review

Related Literature and Studies

The rise of social media has had a significant impact on the way people communicate and share
information. It has also had an impact on the way people consume and share information about culture.

The term “cultural globalization” is often used to describe the way in which the experience of culture is
becoming more homogenized around the world. This homogenization is the result of a number of
factors, including the increasing global reach of media and the internet, the increasing mobility of
people, and the increasing trade and tourism.

This exposure to foreign cultures has led to a change in the way that Filipino youth view and express
their own culture. For example, Filipino youth are more likely to dress in Western-style clothing, listen
to Western music, and use English words and phrases in their speech. They are also more likely to have
a positive view of Western culture and to see it as more modern and progressive than their own culture.

The influence of foreign social media on the lifestyle of Filipinos is evident in the way that they
consume and share information about their culture. Filipino youth are increasingly exposed to foreign
social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. They are also exposed to foreign TV
shows, movies, and music. As a result, they are more likely to adopt the values and norms of these
foreign cultures.

Objective of the study/goal statement

The objective of this study is to understand how foreign social media influences the lifestyle of
Filipinos. This will be done by conducting a survey of Filipinos to understand their social media habits
and how these platforms have impacted their lives. The study will also aim to understand the extent to
which Filipinos are influenced by foreign social media platforms and whether this has led to any
changes in their lifestyle choices.

The objective of this study is to research the influence of foreign social media on the lifestyle of
Filipinos. In particular, this study will seek to answer the following questions: What are the most
popular foreign social media platforms among Filipinos? What kind of content do Filipinos consume
on these platforms? How does this content compare to what is typically consumed on local social
media platforms? How does consuming foreign social media content affect the way Filipinos view
themselves and their own culture?

Research Paradigm

This research paradigm for cultural globalization is the influence of foreign social media on the
lifestyle of Filipinos. The research question that this paradigm seeks to answer is how does foreign
social media influence the lifestyle of Filipinos. In order to answer this question, the researcher must
first understand the concept of cultural globalization. Cultural globalization is the spread of cultural
beliefs and practices around the world. It is often said that cultural globalization is a result of the
increasing global interconnectedness of people and cultures. In other words, as the world becomes
more interconnected, people are able to share their cultural beliefs and practices with others more
easily.

The second concept that the researcher must understand is social media. Social media is a platform
where people can share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences with others. Social media includes
platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The third concept that the researcher must
understand is the lifestyle of Filipinos. The lifestyle of Filipinos is the way that they live their lives. It
includes the things that they do on a daily basis, the way that they dress, the way that they eat, and the
way that they interact with others.
Background of the study : BAGTINGZZZZZ

The study seeks to understand the influence of foreign social media on the lifestyle of Filipinos. It is set
against the backdrop of cultural globalization, which is the process by which the world is becoming
increasingly interconnected and interdependent. This globalization of culture has been facilitated by the
rise of new technologies, which have made it easier for people to connect with each other and share
information. Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram have played a significant
role in this process, as they have allowed people from all over the world to connect with each other and
share content.

In the Philippines, the use of social media has exploded in recent years, with the number of users
increasing from 10 million in 2009 to 37 million in 2016. This growth has been driven by the
increasing availability of broadband internet and the proliferation of smartphones. Filipinos are some of
the most active social media users in the world, with the average user spending 4 hours on social media
platforms each day. The study will focus on the impact of social media on the lifestyle of Filipinos. It
will specifically look at how social media is used in the Philippines and how it has changed the way
Filipinos live. The study will also examine the impact of social media on traditional Filipino values and
culture.
