LUIS: Well, when she was 8 years old, she entered to ¨Perú Negro¨ a very popular group who makes afro music. MAYRA: Yes, she has graduated from ¨Alejandro Guzman end Valle University¨ also known as ¨La cantuta¨. She is teacher. LUIS: In addition, she traveled around Peru, looking for histories about afro Peruvians. MARY: Yes, I heard she traveled to Ica and Cañete to talk with old afro Peruvians and hears history. MAYRA: Also, she was very close to Chabuca Granda, and both artists were looking for a recognize the afro culture. MARY: It´s very important to recognize her work. Have you been to france? LUIS: Yes, I have been to France visited the palace of versailles a very nice place. By the way, she has awarded by Frances government, for her book, about afro Peruvian culture. MAYRA: She is very popular singer, she is very famous in Latino America MARY: Oh yes, I remember she sang with Camilo Sesto, Ricardo Montaner, Rafael, and other popular artist, but she also shared pallet with Calle 13 and Mon Laferte. LUIS: She has gotten many medals, but the most principal was order of merit given by Republic of Peru. MAYRA: Susana Baca is the most successful afro Peruvian in this moment. MARY: Yes, I think the same, but she is not too old to take a break of music. LUIS: I think the same she had done too much for the culture, but she can’t stop now.
