Miler: Everything is fine and how have you been?
Mayte: Very good, thank you, you know, the day of the Creole song is approaching,
and I would like to know what Creole character you admire.
Miler: Sure, I love the way Eva Ayllón sings, she is my favorite Creole singer.
Mayte: Tell me a little more about her.
Miler: her full name is María Angélica Ayllón Urbina and she was born in Lima in
February. She was born on January 7, 1956, she grew up in a Lima family, with Lima
traditions and customs.
Mayte: interesting, I also like Eva Ayllón, did you know that in 1970 she decided and
started singing in crowded Creole clubs, as well as “La Peña de los Ugarte”, “El
Callejón de un solo caño” or “Rinconcito Monsefuano” and Every time his voice sang,
his talent was indisputable.
Miler: I didn't know that, what I was going to tell you is that Eva sang for Kipus in 1973
as lead vocal, with this she became better known.
Mayte: that's right, she later separated from the Kipus and began her work as a soloist,
and you don't know how well she did it. With her work as a soloist her fame grew a lot.
Miler: Of course, thanks to that she won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Folk Album
in 2003.
Mayte: Do you know how many Grammys Eva has won?
Miler: Eva has won ten Latin Grammy's, the last one was in 2019, this makes other
countries aware of Peruvian talent.
Mayte: It's good that we share the taste for Creole songs, so we can tell others the
good things about our country.
Miler: That's right, I have to go friend, see you next week.
Mayte: see you Miler, take care of yourself.
