Some of Jesus’ disciples were seen by the Pharisees and some

teachers of the law eating food with their hands that were
unwashed. There was a law that Pharisees and Jews had to give
their hands a ceremonial washing and also washing their cups,
pitchers and kettles. The Pharisees asked Jesus why they were not
observing the law that was set by their elders. The disciples started
to pretend to observe the law by this Jesus called them hypocrites.
These Pharisees added laws to God’s laws which one of them is
that a person should respect his parents and whoever curses them
is to be put to death. The Pharisees wanted to test Jesus so they
went to him and asked him to give them a sign from heaven but
Jesus refused and why does the generation ask for a sign and for
that no sign was given to the Pharisees. As Jesus came to
Jerusalem and Bethphage and Bethany and Mount of Olives, he
sent out two of his disciples to go find a colt in the village which was
nearby that was never ridden. He instructed them to untie and bring
it to him and if anyone asks they should say the Lord wants it. So
the disciples did exactly as Jesus told them to do. Their cloaks were
put on it and Jesus entered Jerusalem on it and people were
shouting saying ‘Hosanna!’. Jesus entered the temple of courts and
saw people buying and selling there. He drove these people out
and turned tables of the moneychangers. The chief priest started to
look for a way to kill him because they feared Jesus by his powerful
teaching.
