UNIT 3: This is my nose and Lesson 1&2

*Target vocabulary: arms, nose, face, legs, ears, eyes.


*Target structure: This is my nose/ These are my arms.
Lesson materials: flashcard, bucket.
Steps:
Greeting and introduce: (1 minute): Teacher comes and stands in front of the class facing with students:
ask them spell their name and ages: “Hello, what’s your name? Can you spell your name, please?” How
old are you? Are you 5 or 6 years old? Let’s student think about their answer.

Step 1: (5 minute) at the beginning, teacher shows the flashcard to student and uses your sign and gesture
to explain the words and structure.
Content: “Class, nose, sign it when you say.”
“This is my nose”. Can you repeat? Go slowly: THIS is a NOSE. How many nose do you have?
Student: “one nose” Okay, if you have one so we use THIS IS my nose.
When students agree on this, you play a memory game or eyed close to check if they can.

“Arms, can you repeat after me? “Arms”. THESE ARE my arms. How many arms do you have?
Student: “two arms” Okay if we have two arms we use THESE ARE my arms.
Say 3 times and use the gesture for student establish the meaning and structure.

Step 2: (10 minute: PQAs)

Class, this is Max’s nose. (Ohhh), class is this Kevin’s nose? (No), Class, Are these Max’s nose? (No),
this is, this is Max’s nose. Class, these are ten ears on my head. (OHhh) Are these 10 eyes on my head?
(No, 10 ears) That’s right, class.

Step 3: (5 minute): Asking story and use the bucket.
