Yajur is a shy teen who reported in his interview with the transition specialist that he likes to spend time with family and play
chess with his father. He loves to drive and sometimes, as reported by parents, even drives up to 80-90 kilometers at stretch,
thoroughly enjoying his travels. He hates crossing the speed limits and wishes that everyone should drive as per ministry
regulations.
In a recent interview with his parents and counselor, Yajur reported that he wants to be involved in a chess related career. He
quoted the TV show “Queen” and that he aspires to be a Grandmaster. He would like to start participating in competitions
right after graduation, but he also plans to look into vocational or college programs in the field.
Diagnosis:
Based on his most recent evaluation and present level of performance in his current IEP, Yajur has ADHD and dyslexia. He
has difficulty focusing in class, especially in areas he struggles in, like reading and writing.
Independent living:
Yajur will practice living alone in his parent’s house that has a separate in-law-suite.
