STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Myself, Anita Mavani, am an Indian citizen with passport number V623S739, and I am
writing to express my desire to study a Master of Administrative Science in Global
Technology Administration at Fairleigh Dickinson University's Vancouver Campus. The
reason for the same is that I would like to advance in my work and learn new skills. I believe
that this training will provide me with the necessary skills and information to advance my
profession. I am a joyful person with a positive outlook on life who believes that if you put
in the effort, things will work out in the end. Aside from work, I like to read books, doodle,
garden, and travel. I enjoy spending quality time with my family and listening to music in my
spare time.

I was born in Gujarat on April 26th, 1990, and have lived there for more than 30 years.
Because I was born and raised in this state, I have a strong bond with it. I am married and
my husband, Mavani Prakashbhai Veljibhai, is a well-known serviceman. My family
comprises six individuals, including myself. My father, Govindbhai Hirabhai, is a
businessman, and my mother, Bhavnaben Govindbhai, is a committed housewife. My
parents have always been encouraging in our development and always pushed us to study
to become better people. My family consists of three siblings: two brothers and a sister.
Shweta Yogeshkumar Navadiya, my younger sister, is self-employed and a partner in the
firm "Morpich Design LLP." My brothers, like my sister, are self-motivated and self-
employed. Mayur Govindbhai Roy has a textile company called "Khodal Art," and another
brother, Umesh Govindbhai Roy, operates a textile company called "Godavari Art." Our
entire family has always been very supportive of our career choices and has always
encouraged us to pursue our goals.

My early academic years were interesting and laid the foundation for me to identify my field
of interest. I was a hardworking student who participated in extracurricular activities
including dancing, sports, and poetry. Since I was in elementary school, I have always had
the best teachers, and I feel that a child's primary source of interest is his or her teacher.
This was the catalyst for my academic interests and desire to learn more. I received 63.15
percent on my S.S.C. in 2005 and 73.57 percent on my H.S.C. in 2007.

I was interested in a variety of subjects, but with the help of my elders and friends, I was
able to choose my major interest field and follow it as a career. As a result, I went ahead
and took the admission exams for my bachelor’s degree in Computer Applications. In
March 2007, I accepted admission at K.P. Dholakiya Info Mahila College, which was affiliated
with Saurashtra University in Amreli, and I graduated with honors in the year 2010. Due to
the actual application of the theory, I was studying in college, I gradually became more
interested in my courses. This course concentrated on some of the most fundamental
aspects of computer science, allowing me to build a solid foundation in topics like data
structures, programming, and web development.
After graduating from K.P. Dholakiya Info Mahila College, I opted to pursue higher-level
education in the same industry to obtain more expertise. During my undergraduate
education, I worked on a variety of projects that helped me figure out my interest in
computing technologies. I concentrated on gaining theoretical knowledge as well as learning
through application. By the end of the third semester, I had put my knowledge of Java, C,
and C++ programming languages, as well as algorithm design, into practice. This course
provided me with an introduction to the world of web development. I wanted to learn
more about this sector because of the vast array of options and my passion for it. I read
papers to learn about the complexities of the area, after which I enrolled at Bhagwan
Mahavir College of Computer Application, Surat, which is affiliated with Gujarat Technology
University for a master’s degree in Computer Applications, which I completed in 2013 with
a CGPA of 7.61.

I began working shortly after obtaining my master’s degree in 2013. From 2013 through
2019, I worked at Themes design, a software development firm, as a Web Developer.

My co-workers, work experience, and managers have all aided me in learning and growing
in my industry. Building and maintaining websites with scripting and authoring languages,
and management tools, directing and performing website updates, and developing or
validating test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces
and address all browser and device types were among my roles and responsibilities
throughout my career. As my experience expanded, I was given greater duties, such as
coordinating with and leading content-creation team members and keeping up with the
latest Web applications and programming methods through education, study, and
participation in conferences, workshops, and clubs.

The second company joined I joined was Case Point Pvt Ltd, I was appointed as a Front-
End Web Developer in April 2019. But I soon felt the urge to change my employer and
therefore, I recently accepted the opportunity to join as a Web Developer at Coderthemes
in February 2020 and I am working here till date.

In addition to my particular knowledge and expertise in this profession, I also have greater
respect for the topic's span and practical opportunities. But due to the lack of managerial
skillsets or academic knowledge of management, the opportunities get limited up to a
certain level. As a result, I intend to enhance my career by enrolling in Fairleigh Dickinson
University's Master of Administrative Science in Global Technology Administration program.
I'm excited to improve my administrative and leadership skills, as well as enhance key
management effectiveness.
I appeared for my IELTS exam on January 22, 2022, as part of the college admissions
process, and cleared with an overall band score of 6.5, with 7.5 in Listening, 6.0 in
Reading, 6.5 in Writing, and 6.0 in Speaking.

The major reason for choosing Canada is that this country is known for providing
affordable, high-quality education with internationally recognized degrees, having over
half a million international students. Because of its high quality of life, vibrant culture, and
immigration options, Canada is a popular study destination in India. The outstanding
educational system is one of the key reasons I chose to study in Canada. A degree from a
Canadian college is considered a sign of dependability and quality, and I believe that having
one would help me develop in my career.

Fairleigh Dickinson University appeared to be the best fit for my needs after several days of
investigation. When I looked at the course structure and syllabus on the website, I felt at
peace. It will equip me with all the skills I need to grow in my career. Furthermore, the
professors assigned to this curriculum are among the greatest, in my opinion. In terms of
teaching, employability, research, facilities, internationalization, creativity, and inclusion,
this program appears to be the best, and this college is one of the best in Canada.

I chose this course because I want to grow in the field of global business. The MAS
Administrative Science program prepares students for a wide range of administrative
positions in several organizations. The program will train me in a variety of relevant fields
to satisfy global demands and needs. The six specialization courses focus on both practical
and theoretical concepts while developing administrative, analytical, and decision-making
skills. Computer security and forensic administration, emergency management
administration, global health, and human services administration, global leadership and
administration, global technology administration, and human resources administration are
some of the few specialties available.

It will equip and advance the skills necessary for me to succeed in my career, including the
ability to manage time productively, understanding of the technical skill, problem-solving
skills, mastery of effective communication, the ability to make decisions strategically,
expertise in analytical and research skills, and an understanding of the moral implications of
administrative decisions on individuals and society.

Upon the completion of my course, I aim to come back home. In India, I have a copious
number of relatives for whom I am responsible. Apart from that, I'd like to work with some
of the most well-known companies in the country. And I believe that I will be able to
contribute to the prosperity of my country, which will be a great accomplishment for me. In
the IT industry, there are several other job prospects. After completing this course, I'd like to
work as a manager and contribute to the company's growth.
Extensive experience of working as a developer, it began feeling stagnating over a year and
then two years. I began to realize that it was not in my capacity to be glued in front of a
computer, the entire time. I liked talking to people, and in several instances during my
previous job, I was the go-to person for my co-workers in case of any bug that cropped up or
any trouble with the management. As a manager, you become the force multiplier to
refine the effectiveness of your team so instead of it means that you are not the one who
codes, but the one who helps others in coding better.

By moving a level up in the hierarchy, I will have better control over the project’s outcome,
its delivery, and an opportunity to be a good mentor, guide, and leader to my team
members. Upon completion of this program, I will have solidified the important
fundamentals for management, and the specialization that I have opted for i.e., Global
technology administrator will be a stepping-stone for me to further my career in the tech-
managerial position. After finishing my study in Canada, I would come back to Surat and
start applying to major companies over here like Rising wings, Sassy Infotech Pvt Ltd, SJD
International, Brighten solutions, and Helixwebi Web Designing Company, where there
are opportunities for me to goal higher with foreign projects. I will be able to work
globally with outside clients and make my family proud.

I am motivated, capable, and keen to learn. My educational background and skills, I believe,
will enable me to develop into a successful Professional. I anticipate a fruitful and exciting
collaboration with your prestigious institution in Canada. If given the opportunity, I am
convinced that my will to succeed will allow me to contribute significantly to the community
of Canada. I am hoping to hear back from the Canadian Embassy soon.

I am informed that there are several criteria for applying for a VISA in Canada, and I feel I
fulfill them completely because of the followings:

 I have earned the requisite I.E.L.T.S. score.

 I have already been accepted into the MAS Administrative Science program at the
Fairleigh Dickinson University
 And I have paid C$ 23,830.00 for the first academic year.
 I have also obtained a GIC Certificate by depositing C$ 10200 in Scotiabank of
Canada.
 Additionally, I ensure that I will obey all Canadian regulations and laws and will not
indulge in any unlawful activity.

Anita Mavani
