    Career Goals

    After graduating from Wake Forest University in December 2023 I plan to apply to be an

    associate level Clinical Mental Health Counselor. While waiting for the board to approve my

    application I will continue to work as a Behavioral Health Care Specialist at Novant Forsyth

    Medical Center. Once the board has approved my license, I will work at my current internship

    site Crossnore Communities for Children as a Child and Family Therapist. In the next year I plan

    to research and select a program to start further training in play therapy and Cognitive

    Behavioral Therapy. I will work with Crossnore who is willing to help pay for additional training

    in selecting the program. In the next 3 years, I plan to work towards public student loan

    forgiveness while still working at Crossnore, and I plan to apply for full licensure barring that I

    have completed the necessary requirements in that timeframe.
