The chart shows the unemployment situation in Australia in

the year 2012.


The line graph represents the proportion of unemployed in
australia in 2012.
Overall, the uneployment rate is more in rural areas rather than
in urban areas. In addition, the rate of unemployment in rural
areas showed gradual decreased in given year.
Unemployment rate of rural areas, at the beginning, was
between 6 and 7 percent, while the urban areas started with
nearly 2.1 percent.
However, in the second quarter, situation totally changed, Urban
areas sharply declined from 6.5 to 4.5 percent, whereas urban
areas dramatically increased to 4 percent. By the third quarter,
unemployment rate of urban areas enormously dropped again to
approximately 2.1 percent, but the rural areas gradually rose to
5.4 percent and straightaway fell to 5 percent.
Unemployment rate of Rural and Urban areas in Australia in
2012 in the fourth quarter were on the same level, namely the
Urban area was at 4.8 percent and the Rural area was at 5
percent.
In conclusion, in the countryside, the rate of unemployment
continued to decline steadily whereas a noticeable surge was
witnessed in the percentage with respect to those living in the
cities.
