Reasons for a Scholarship

I am applying for this scholarship because I think that it will be a great opportunity to

help with my college expenses. College is very expensive and many people struggle to pay for it.

I am hoping to work and earn money to pay for a college education for myself, through work and

scholarships. My parents would be a great option but for my family it just doesn't work, so I need

to find other ways and I think this scholarship is a good one.

Scholarships are a great option for almost everyone because there are so many different

ones, each with different requirements, work needed, and amounts, anywhere from 50-10,000

dollars. I qualify for this scholarship because I have good grades, all A’s, and I did really well on

all standardized tests I have taken. I like school and learning new things, so I think I could really

thrive and do well in college. However I cannot afford to pay for college and I don’t want to be

paying student loans for the rest of my life. I want to learn medicine and be a compounding

pharmacist. I think this would be a great job because I would be able to do something I love and

help people. This scholarship would really help me get a good start on my journey to my dream

job, without having to rely on loans or other people.

Some people have their parents pay for their college, or at least some of it. I wish that

mine could but I have three siblings so if they had to help pay for all of them then they would be

out a lot of money. The average cost of tuition per year is around $10,000. So while my parents

are very generous, it's not logical for them to pay, or even help pay, for my college tuition. I also

want to become a pharmacist which requires around 7 years of schooling, and therefore costs a

lot of money. I am hoping to graduate from high school with a two year degree to help cut some

of the cost and save time, but it still leaves me with a lot left to pay for. So this scholarship would

greatly help me with tuition costs.

 I believe that I am the best for this scholarship because I have good grades and do well in

school. So college would be good for me and this scholarship would help me pay for it, even if it

isn't a lot of money, I will appreciate anything I get. College is really expensive and is hard to

pay for with no help. I greatly appreciate that you have taken the time to read my essay and

consider me for this amazing opportunity.
